Other than the busy print, I liked the first dress Christie tried on the best. Even though it had spaghetti straps, it supported her breasts without showing all the cleavage Andy mistakenly thinks is so sexy. And, the fullness of the skirt hid her thunder thighs.
The green dress she did choose looked decent, no boobs hanging out in our faces, but the gathering under her bust made them look a bit saggy. The gold sequin trim around the neck made the dress look cheap. And, that big gold sequined bow made her butt look big.
Thank goodness she didn't wear boots with the dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't like this one either...I liked the brown dress with the wrap....it was much more eloquent than that drab green, shiny, slinky dress (it was oozing cheapness).****************************

Really, have we come to expect anything else with Andy ALWAYS directing the make-overs? I thought the green dress did nothing for Christie and, in fact, looked cheap with that gold trim & back "thing". I actually loved the brown one. I get more frustrated with each graduation make-over. Andy...GIVE IT UP!!!!

Christie doesn't get that even though she has had implants, her boobs are sagging again. They are supposed to be halfway between the shoulder and the elbow. If not, where a supportive bra. Christie's boobs are at her elbow. SAG!Andy made Christie look like a ghost at her "modeling" photo shoot. At graduation she looked sickly. Pastie pale. I was shock when they showed flashbacks to when Christie first came into the house. She has gained so much weight!!!

I'll be 54 next month and, without a bra, my D cuppers don't hang down to my elbows. With a Hanes underwire bra, they're midway between my shoulder and elbow.

I'm not so sure I liked the dress or make-up,but I was really glad to see some of that hair come off.I think it was a great improvement.I hope she keeps it like that.

Another SO makeover disaster. Ugly, badly fitted dress, pale, heavy makeup and WTF was with them and Christie's hair???
Why are they so against long hair? Andi and her "I want 8" and I will push for 12"." GAG!!! Why is it always assumed that long hair is a bad thing that must be chopped off or grown to donate to a charity?
I wanted to be sick when Christie's hair was cut off.
And I can see why she was crying. She really didn't want to cut it. And they shouldn't have badgered her into it. What a sickening display.

LAST EDITED ON 05-24-06 AT 08:20 PM (EST)i am glad the hair went to locks of love. my friend tells me that there is a minimum inch requirement...who knows? the dress was ill-fitting. what was up with the constraining shawl?

Locks of Love has a 10-inch minimum, according to its website. So if Christie only cut 8 inches, the hair would not be usable. Why was Andy Monster going for 12, when she only needed 10 to donate?
Christie likes her long hair. She's given up so much already just being in the SO house. Why force her to do more at her graduation?
That's just the Monster being the Monster. Putting women in dresses that don't make them look good, and especially tarting up their faces to make them look like clowns on their graduation days.
I understand the concept of a makeover, but please, get a professional to do them. Not a wannabe professional. This show has given Andy a License to Ugly.

Having long hair, I always dislike when they try to force someone to cut it all off.But I will say that it usually makes people look softer and more up to date. I think sometimes people cling to length because it's either a symol of youth (that can actually make them look older) or it's their "trademark".
What bothers me more is when they give a plain person a very fancy haircut that the person will not keep up with. Then it automatically looks bad unless they spend a lot of time on it.

Piss-T's makeover...in one word...ADDICT.

Zoey wrote: "I think sometimes people cling to length because it's either a symol of youth (that can actually make them look older)..."Truer words have not been spoken, lol. I wish that somebody would do a Public Service Announcement stating the obvious on this subject. There's no need to trade in the salon for a barber shop when it comes to retiring super long hair,
Christie's haircut was a dramatic improvement. Her face looked better, and her hair looked healthy, soft, full, and well-maintained. She just looks so much prettier now (I still think she's ugly on the inside though).

I asked a hairdresser about women's hair length. He said the general rule of thumb is: If a woman is older than 30, the haircut should be a maximum of shoulder length. I read a business book once (can't remember which one) that said that the shorter a woman's hair was, the higher the paycheck she was assumed to have. The same book had a female employee asking why she wasn't being taken seriously at work, and she was told, "Lose the Alice in Wonderland look."
I wore my hair long most of my life. Long. Not just a little long. But, Loooooooonng. I got it cut in 2003. Dramatically. My hair has been short ever since. I am not looking back, either.
Not only do I think short hair makes me look younger? It's so much EASIER to take care of!
That said, I do think that the decision has to be the individual's. I don't usually like the choppy hair cuts of the Andy Paige makeovers. "Short" should not equate with "hacked off with a weed whacker."

I Agree EMTGRL, and short should not constitute looking like it has been chewed off by a bunch of RATS. Who would want Piss-T's colored, over processed, drug induced dried out hair. No cancer patient I know, etc.

Well, that is al well and good in the real world for the real people ... EXCEPT Christe doesn't live in the REAL WORLD she is living in LA LA FANTASY LAND where Denise Richards, Heather Locklear, Hally Barrie, etc etc live. She compares herself to them.... Because in Christie's eye's SHE LOOKS LIKE THEM, and WILL look like them when she is skinny......
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Christie just needs to stop DREAMING because that dream will never ever EVER come true!!!!!!
EVER!

Oh SR you had me fooled. I was so sure you were turning away from the dark side and finally seeing the light where Christie is concerened. "Christie's haircut was a dramatic improvement. Her face looked better, and her hair looked healthy, soft, full, and well-maintained. She just looks so much prettier now" but then you stepped back into the darkeness with this "(I still think she's ugly on the inside though)." Don't worry, it's not too late. Just turn and walk towards the light.
Truthfully, she is disappointing me with all her ebay shenanigans. But I think she is getting some really bad advice from Toadi (someone else I'm disappointed in). Oh well, such is life. *sigh*

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
Sharnina,The truth is the truth. Actually, I'll take it a step further: I think Christie looked...this is so tough for me to say...well...I think her face and hair looked beautiful at her graduation. No, she isn't a model - but maybe she could have passed for one if she had the right body (tall and thin) at the age of 17. But that ship hasn't just sailed -- it sunk (and nobody is even is even looking for it).
Actually, I'm glad Andie didn't use her blood red lip paint on Christie. The softer, pastel color was much more elegant. Somebody put it perfectly: Andie thinks that a make-over means putting on layers of brightly colored cosmetics. When you look at her work (think Antonia) you see MAKE-UP, not beautiful eyes, flawless skin, high cheekbones, or full lips. You just see color - lots of garish color. I don't know why she used a lighter hand on Christie, but it worked.
Hey, I know what Andie can do now that her major source of income has dried up -- she can go work in a funeral parlor. Those folks won't fight "the process".
And now that I've taken two step towards the light, I'm going back into the darkness!
The word for me wasn't bronzer.....it was turtle shell. All they needed to do was put a giant turtle shell on her back and the makeover would have been complete. Do turtles have hair? No! Cut it all off! Thank God it's done and over with. I can only hear Christie telling her boyfriend Justin, "Break open the champagne, baby, I'm on the way home. We are getting wasted tonight."
How long with that resolution to take care of her brother hold up? And if it happens how long will the child stick around for all that whining? All I can see in his near future is 'runaway teenager.'
Words of wisdom not related to Christie : Behold the turtle....he only makes progress when he sticks his neck out!
