"Bethany's life coach was supposed to be Iyanla"

I can't think of a time in the last three seasons when one LC had 4 house guests and the other had 2. I am confident that Bethany was cast to work with Iyanla and then IV backed out. Maybe because it was too close to home considering that IV's daughter died or more likely, IV realized that Bethany is not ready to be in the house and didn't want anything to do with it. This would explain why Iyanla was so oddly silent at Bethany's first meeting.

Rhonda was NEVER a good match for Bethany. It's best that she left.

I have to respectfully disagree and say that I felt Rhonda was a much better choice as a LC for Bethany than IV would have been. IV yells at her HG and gets in their face and that is not what Bethany needs. She needs someone soft and compassionate and let's not forget Rhonda lost both her parents at a young age so she is not in the dark about death. If IV is so evolved and so at peace with everything as she claims she is then she should have had no problem helping Bethany and would have jumped at the chance. Look at the HG she helped in the past that have had issues similiar to hers.

I don't think Rhonda losing her parents when she was a teen is a close match. It did do wonders for Andy though. I still remember their talk in the backyard of the Chicago house. Amazing! I'm not saying that Iyanla would have been great for Bethany but simply that she recognized the level of rawness Bethany was at and that she needs time before moving forward.

This discussion is centering much more on the Life Coaches than on Bethany.
