Yeah, same here.

The anonymity of the internet sure has it's down side.

When you are as large as I was for most of my life (about the size of the swimming Allison) you absolutely get pummelled by comments from strangers, taunts and ridicule like you would NOT believe. I had always thought that was as far as it went -- you know, people being "cute" or showing off for their companions how ballsy they were to shout crude things to the fat girl. Now I am learning just how much more there is to hating fat people than I thought. I guess I was pretty naive.

Not that I expect anyone to ever change their way of posting because of something I feel, but I want to honor myself by expressing right here and now that it is extremely hard to see the ridicule of someone's body go to such an extreme. I try not to take it personally, but I do. Years and years of being publically ridiculed are all coming back in a wave of nausea, and I am having a difficult time.

As a fat chick I wince sometimes reading these boards. Interesting to note that Jill is clearly heavier than Allison but she doesn't incite many comments about her size. So is it a fat thing or a personality thing? I'm hopeing personality because fat chicks are people too.
