The time frame of this show is a little hard to pin down. If they vote someone out every other day, then logic dictates they lived together at least less than a month. I find it hard to believe there could be such attachments made in such a short time that Scmuck..sorry, Schmo (I really wish I knew why Matt irritates me so sometimes...) would bawl like a little boy who lost his teddy at Earl's leaving. Outside of the father/son debate (if Earl was to stay the Grizzled War Veteran, I would think he wouldn't have too many heart-to-heart moments) I think it's more Schmo's ingrained respect for the elderly. Especially elderly veterans. Saying, for debate's sake, that he's NOT in on it (which I personally believe) I think he just felt guilty and perhaps embarassed about his vote (what conclusion d'you think Ashliegh came to?) He has to face her after that, of course. Not saying that Schmo has no feelings. I believe he felt sad. But that was a little over the top. Especially for only knowing these people outside of two weeks? Besides, phones and the post office exist outside of the mansion. I think he felt ashamed that Earl was losing a chance at the money, (must...admire...War...Veterans...no...matter...what...) and embarassed because now he has to face Ashliegh. Oops!
I agree with others...deciding to boot her immediatly because she turned him down is extremely lame.
