"Molly the Virgin"

OK, I understand the premise. I think the show is very entertaining.
And I understand the over-the-top things they are trying to do.

But Molly a virgin?
Folks, she couldn't be a virgin on an island full of Amazons.
She reminds me mostly of the West Memphis girl on Big Brother ... wasn't that Amy? Same voice. Probably smokes cigars, too.

As characters, Kip and Hutch are hilarious. Ashleigh and Molly have possibilities, but the Buddy, Veteran, Dr. Quack and Gina are all throwaway characters. I guess Brian has to stay, though, since he's a writer.

What do you mean by "throw-away" characters? That they are boring, or unimportant so far, or don't make good TV? Just curious.

I like Ashleigh and Straight Gay Guy, and looking at Molly the <cough> Virgin isn't hard on the eyes. She didn't say that she and her boyfriend were "saving themselves" with the gumption and steadfastness that someone would have to have to actually carry that out in reality, in my opinion. She seemed kind of malleable at that point.

ya, Neffer, I mean all those things: Boring, Unimportant (which equates to "not good TV") but most of all, they are undeveloped characters.
Kip and Hutch are pretty well-developed characters right out of the chute. Molly -- not really, but there is potential. Don't thinks she's that great an actress, though ... possibly the worst of the ensemble.
Ashleigh, I'd have to say, is an interesting character.

I agree with the point about the actors going in and out of character in the interviews. That's one of the highlights of the show.

The most recent show, though, took a step back, I felt. Way too much emotion. I do feel like they are trying to keep the show light and it just got too heavy with Earl's eviction.

I'd agree. During that last episode Buh Bye Dr. Pat I was laughing when Matt asked Molly if she had ever "done that" (pleasured herself). It seemed like she was looking for help from somebody, glancing back and forth. Well-mannered Matt let her off the hook, and I really wanted to see her try to get out of that corner on her own. It was enjoyable to watch Molly squirm.

Molly, the pseudo virgin was looking back and forth because she had no idea how a real virgin, her age, would have answered the question. A real virgin Molly's age would have immediately, without hesitation said Nooooo. And be lying.

Exactly, Deonna.
These are some bad actors, aren't they? Only Kip and The Hutch seem to have any potential.

Motley missed her calling as a slasher victim in Friday the 13th ... Ashleigh has potential. I chalk a lot of it up to good looks.

And I really liked Dr. Pat's heartfelt wishes toward Matt. Kind of "when you see this and look back, I think you'll realize we all thought a lot of you, Matt." Thought that was kind of classy.

Is that classy spelt cheesy..lol. I think the actors probably do have good hearts when it comes to Matt. It's funny to see them make those statements immediately following humiliating him though.

if they had good hearts they would have never done the show. these are hungry 1st time actors and 2 bit part actors. if they were smart they would have stayed away from this dog.

you're both right, but I'm just saying it seemed like a genuine act of kindness.
Yes, these actors are probably starving and, judging by their talents, will be for a long time. And, as far as their choice of jobs goes, they aren't very smart to sign on for this.
But even the driver of the getaway car, the kidnapper and all the other "evil-doers" in the world can still have some heart and I thought Dr. Pat showed some with her postgame comments.

She claimed that she had met her bf at some church camp, how she should have answerd the question, since Matt knows she is religious was that "It goes against the teachings of the church to do that"

"It goes against the teachings of the church to do that"

What, talk to Matt or pick up guys at church?

fwiw, I really enjoyed the cutting between Molly the character, and the actor who portrays her. at least when it comes to "changing" to fit a character, the actor is great, she seems so completely different as her relaxed-and-in-real-life self. a fun flip/flop.

She's not inhibited enough to be a virgin, and with the bikinis she's wearing, why can't Matt see through that? Doofus on steroids.

There are lot of women that act a lot less inhibited than Molly and still claim to be a virgin. Being a virgin doesnt mean the person never thought about it or come close...look at Michelle on BB4 for example...what's with all the dry humping but she's still a virgin.

I'd like to see them take Molly's virginal character and have her corrupted by the house and turn a lil slutty..with Hutch the asshole no less. See what Matt thinks then.

"look at Michelle on BB4 for example" - not familiar with what and who this is??

They always bleep out my swearing, how do you rate?

Molly's acting is too young to withstand having to play "nice" with Hutch. She'd have to bite her tongue again or ask Hutch to. Gonna be sick now.....

I agree, that would be interesting. Poor Schmo would probably blow his mind. What would you think if all your perceptions were wrong? Ohh, wait. Most of my perceptions usually do turn out to be wrong... there goes my mind.

With The Hutch? ....now that would be acting.

Britney Spears CLAIMED to be a virgin even after doing all those sexy videos and basicly living with a boyfriend for a year... Matt might think "maybe she's done it, but she thought that she'd be more likely to get on the show if she claimed to be a hot virgin".

A lot of my friends, did an awful lot of sexual stuff in college. But since they hadn't done the particular act, they considered themselves virgins.

And am I the only one who's heard of stupid girls who claimed they were virgins because they didn't like it?

LOL ... in all my years I never heard that one.
Thank God, I never came across any girls who said that.
If they didn't like it, what's it matter that they're virgins or not? ... Unless they think they might like it at some point and want to claim their virgin-ness.
Sounds like a sore excuse to claim "we really didn't do it because we didn't do it right."

I will add this: In my limited (I know I'm old, but I won't claim to be worldly) experience, I've noticed that women who really were members of the "V Club" seemed to be very sexually starved. Thus, the dry-humping and maybe some of the "coming out" of Molly is actually reflective of the church-type V Club member she is supposed to be portraying.
Could it be she actually studied and is a good actress.
Nahhhhhhhhh ... no way.

That's why her dialogue is so limited.....

Ooops, I just incriminated myself with a short post, don't tell my son I'm a virgin.
