"TAR Hawkeye 10 -- Episode 3"

Hey Lena, IKEA hidden clue in the Hay!

1. What is so fascinating in the car that Rebecca and Adam keep their Forehead Headlamps on and lit while driving?

2. Imagine that you’re a simple Swedish taxi driver out to earn an honest Kroner or two. A muscle-bound Yankee charges your cab breathlessly demanding to know where the ICEBAR is. How do you escape?

3. Freddy calls the store “I Key A”. How would he mispronounce some of the other major department stores’ names?

4. Since he counted “66, 68, 80 …”, what is the reason behind Bolo’s aversion to the 70s?

5. Give us a translation to the VARUUTLÄMNING sign at the IKEA counting dungeon.

6. Once again, Gus and Hera prove to be the most directionally challenged team in TAR history. Where should Gus hide a GPS locator so he can find his way on the next leg?

7. How many ice cube shooters did Jonathan/Victoria and Adam/Rebecca ‘accidentally’ down before trying to slide them on the ice bar? And just what was that red stuff the bartender was pouring?

8. Don tried to work the age card on the IKEA supervisor during the counting challenge. Using your best Swedish Chef accent, what could she have said to him to ‘help’ get the number 2304?

9. What did Hayden and Aaron do for Kris and Jon to let them waltz to the mat for first place?

10. For just the second time in TAR history, Phil got to go out to the field to Philiminate a team. What did he do during the 2-hour wait after Don and MJ arrived?

at first I was hoping that the elders would not get kicked off- until we watched him try to use his age to bribe the counter at Ikea- horrifying! I don't think this cute senior couple is worth routing for after that! too bad for the mormon sisters- just bad luck- but least they stuck it out! Is there anyone worth cheering for this season?

1. What is so fascinating in the car that Rebecca and Adam keep their Forehead Headlamps on and lit while driving?
Nothing fascinating. It's just that when you live your whole life in the dark of a closet, you learn to cherish and yearn for the light.
2. Imagine that you’re a simple Swedish taxi driver out to earn an honest Kroner or two. A muscle-bound Yankee charges your cab breathlessly demanding to know where the ICEBAR is. How do you escape?
Take him to the Scandahovian version of 7-11 and ask the clerk to show him their asortment of frozen treats, since he seems to want an Icebar so badly.
3. Freddy calls the store “I Key A”. How would he mispronounce some of the other major department stores’ names?
Jaysee Pen Eyes? Weeners? They originally chose the newest Ikea wannabe store for the challenge, however, after no one was able to make the cab drivers understand they were trying to get to Jysk, they changed to Ikea. (I bought my tv stand at Jysk and a lovely one it is, although I had a few small items left over after assembly.)
4. Since he counted “66, 68, 80 …”, what is the reason behind Bolo’s aversion to the 70s?
He really can't remember them.
5. Give us a translation to the VARUUTLÄMNING sign at the IKEA counting dungeon.
A little known phrase (var out lamb ning), it refers to the back 40 acres which are just north of the hay fields in which the new born lambs are kept. If the racers were unable to complete either counting or assembling, they were going to send them varuutlamning to count baby sheepies.
6. Once again, Gus and Hera prove to be the most directionally challenged team in TAR history. Where should Gus hide a GPS locator so he can find his way on the next leg?
He has one. Unfortunately it is jammed deep in the recesses of his front pant pocket which is unaccessible due to the fact that his belly dunlops over his belt, rendering the locator almost as useless as Gus.
7. How many ice cube shooters did Jonathan/Victoria and Adam/Rebecca ‘accidentally’ down before trying to slide them on the ice bar? And just what was that red stuff the bartender was pouring?
Sorry. In my home version of the game I had a drambuie shooter for each miss. This caused me to be unable to count or even care how the heck many the teams were doing.
8. Don tried to work the age card on the IKEA supervisor during the counting challenge. Using your best Swedish Chef accent, what could she have said to him to ‘help’ get the number 2304?
I refuse to demean the Ikea clerk in this manner since even with help there was no way in he11 the old poot was going to get the correct number. Especially after he confused the challenge with The Price is Right Higher Lower game.
9. What did Hayden and Aaron do for Kris and Jon to let them waltz to the mat for first place?
Who are Kris and Jon and when did they join this race?
10. For just the second time in TAR history, Phil got to go out to the field to Philiminate a team. What did he do during the 2-hour wait after Don and MJ arrived?
He had a nice meal of fish sticks with Captain Highliner, amusing himself by asking "Arggg, have you ever been to sea Billy?".

1. What is so fascinating in the car that Rebecca and Adam keep their Forehead Headlamps on and lit while driving?

They tried keeping the car door open whilst driving but it was too cold.

2. Imagine that you’re a simple Swedish taxi driver out to earn an honest Kroner or two. A muscle-bound Yankee charges your cab breathlessly demanding to know where the ICEBAR is. How do you escape?

Take him to any place and say this is a "Nice Bar!"

3. Freddy calls the store “I Key A”. How would he mispronounce some of the other major department stores’ names?

Not sure, maybe his misses the G-A-P.

4. Since he counted “66, 68, 80 …”, what is the reason behind Bolo’s aversion to the 70s?

I think a whole lot of steriods and also when weight training you have to look good in front of people. Ya know, reps:

"66,67,68, (oh someone is looking).. 80!"

5. Give us a translation to the VARUUTLÄMNING sign at the IKEA counting dungeon.

2304 REASONS NOT TO DO THIS TASK!

6. Once again, Gus and Hera prove to be the most directionally challenged team in TAR history. Where should Gus hide a GPS locator so he can find his way on the next leg?

Next to his pace maker, oh wait that's coming up!

7. How many ice cube shooters did Jonathan/Victoria and Adam/Rebecca ‘accidentally’ down before trying to slide them on the ice bar? And just what was that red stuff the bartender was pouring?

It was water and they were drinking nothing.

8. Don tried to work the age card on the IKEA supervisor during the counting challenge. Using your best Swedish Chef accent, what could she have said to him to ‘help’ get the number 2304?

Yebious she, puten tshe toys in thee baskettt!! Bjork, bjork, bjork!

9. What did Hayden and Aaron do for Kris and Jon to let them waltz to the mat for first place?

I am not sure but I think two couples together gettin it on could make for good tv.

10. For just the second time in TAR history, Phil got to go out to the field to Philiminate a team. What did he do during the 2-hour wait after Don and MJ arrived?

I have stayed at that boat and there are some nice bars and restaurants around the area. Probably had a nice meal dreaming about the two girls in haystack!

For wrestlers, counting is a very slow process, have you ever seen how much can happen in a wresling match before the ref counts to 3?

He probably was seeing the other teams off who had already finished their 12 hour rest period, and he was reading a book on "Top Mormom pick up lines"

I just wonder if Lena could find a clue while Phil was travelling to the haystack, what would happen?
Lena & Kristy would arrive the port finding no one there? Or they would be stopped from leaving the haystack since Phil was coming?

1. What is so fascinating in the car that Rebecca and Adam keep their Forehead Headlamps on and lit while driving?

It's not that there was something fascinating in the car, it was really that they needed to be sure it was the right car so they didn't get a penalty like Don and Mary Jean.

2. Imagine that you’re a simple Swedish taxi driver out to earn an honest Kroner or two. A muscle-bound Yankee charges your cab breathlessly demanding to know where the ICEBAR is. How do you escape?

Hide behind him, he probably won't think to turn around.

3. Freddy calls the store “I Key A”. How would he mispronounce some of the other major department stores’ names?

Sears = See-ers (the superstore for psychics)

4. Since he counted “66, 68, 80 …”, what is the reason behind Bolo’s aversion to the 70s?

It was a decade that he was too high to notice. ETA: He also skipped 69... what do you think that means?

5. Give us a translation to the VARUUTLÄMNING sign at the IKEA counting dungeon.

It means: It's a dumb idea to count bears! Go build a desk.

6. Once again, Gus and Hera prove to be the most directionally challenged team in TAR history. Where should Gus hide a GPS locator so he can find his way on the next leg?

I don't know but, I know he shouldn't hide it in his underwear!

7. How many ice cube shooters did Jonathan/Victoria and Adam/Rebecca ‘accidentally’ down before trying to slide them on the ice bar? And just what was that red stuff the bartender was pouring?

They each had 7 (for good luck of course) and that red stuff was Ox blood from that animal of Colin's that was broke in TAR 5.

8. Don tried to work the age card on the IKEA supervisor during the counting challenge. Using your best Swedish Chef accent, what could she have said to him to ‘help’ get the number 2304?

It is very close to your age.

9. What did Hayden and Aaron do for Kris and Jon to let them waltz to the mat for first place?

We can't talk about this here! It is a PG-13 website.

10. For just the second time in TAR history, Phil got to go out to the field to Philiminate a team. What did he do during the 2-hour wait after Don and MJ arrived?

He rested, ate & mingled with the other teams, silly!

Mon Dieu, Mon Cherie... c'est magnifique!!!
