How could anyone go on TAR after so many shows not knowing how to drive stick shift? As I pointed out before, I bought a truck with a stick shift to learn how to use one in-case I got on the show.
How could anyone go on TAR after so many shows not knowing how to drive stick shift?

I guess they assumed that only one partner would ever have to drive, because the other two drove stick. They apparently didn't think about that, though, when deciding how to split up the teams.

People keep going on Survivor without knowing how to make fire, build a shelter or, worse, find food in a jungle. I'm guessing that most don't believe they'll make it on the show and once they hear they've made the cut, there isn't enough time for driving lessons because of all the other stuff that needs attention (leave of absence at work, taking care of the kids, the house, the finances, medical checkups, etc...)

Yet, I who know how to do all those things, and even set time and money aside to learn how to swim and to drive stick-shift never make it on the show.Maybe they think it would make boring TV. In-fact the only thing I have seen in all the shows that I would not do is the drinking of blood.
And as for Survivor, I know three different ways to start a fire without matches, how to make a lean-to, and I have four hungry brothers in both Jamaica and Canada I have found tons of eatable plants and for the problems they have in the past with rats, lizards and snakes - I just see meat on the loose.

All the faces in the world are mirrors. What kind of reflections do you see in the faces of the people you meet?
