"Those who can't do, teach - Part II"

It's easy to see why Will is a substitute teacher as opposed to being a full time one. Let's see, he can't teach arts and crafts. Nor does he teach gym class, apparently. Not a youth counsellor, either. Teaching shop class is out of the question considering the shoddy shape of his glasses.
What else is it clear that he can't teach?

Y'know, given the number of people who have claimed to be teachers when they really did something that struck a little more fear into people's hearts (even marginal amounts of fear,) one wonders if Will will end up being accused of lying about his occupation.Let's see...Maria and Tiffany from Season...something or other...got called out based on being recognized froma poker tour.
Last season? The border patrol peeps called out Nary and Jamie who claimed to be - what else? - teachers.
And then on this season of BB, Danielle claims to be a teacher but spits out medical terms, sleeps late, and seems to hate kids, and Boogie figures out she's a nurse.
We're getting to the point where people who actually ARE teachers won't be able to say they are without people being convinced they're lying.

They can teach choosing drivers as that is the only skill that has saved them in 2/3's of the race so far.

Will would last about 27 minutes in my middle school. Most of the students are taller than he is.

Be carefully there. In my last high school (1975) we had a short teacher in the gym, one day a student (about a foot taller than the teacher) started to mouth out about the teacher's size.
Teacher just reach out lifted completely off the ground the student for about two seconds and then gently put him down. That was it.
Never heard anyone make comments about his small size afterwards.
The rope climb without using his feet later also impressed.

Agree with you as I've had a teacher that was shorter than everyone in the class, but still stronger or as strong as anyone ... but if that gym teacher in your school did that same action today, he'd have been fired by the end of the day.

Teachers did a lot of things in the past that they could never do now!I remember a teacher trying to get a class to understand inverting fractions.
(we were 3 grades in one room 4th, 5th, 6th).
One of the students wasn't understanding inverting.
She picked him up and held him upside down by his heels.
He knew then what invert meant!
