Well, what do you expect from Caite, I mean, she's in The France and there are no U.S. American maps there so of course she had to follow that doofus around everywhere! That doofus really believed that south is just a direction and not a direction to go, so how can you blame him for getting lost? And Carol & Brandy looked reaaaally smart, so I could understand why Brent decided to follow them to the pit stop in last night's episode! I just hope that the Amazing Race isn't going to The Iraq next or they'd be really in trouble.

By golly, you're right! Why is there no Brent and Caite hate thread? Well, I guess there is now. Good job.

Anyway...holy crap! Rarely do you see one team member so bluntly tell the other that s/he never has good ideas or that everything s/he does is all wrong. I just couldn't get over that. Or that vacant look on her face on any number of occasions.

He's not bright, but she's mean-spirited, which, IMO is worse.

The more screen time Caite gets, the more awful a human being (ignorant and nasty) she shows herself to be! I've posted this in other threads over time but Jeez!!! From hocking a loogey at the dairy, her claiming to eat "the crap out of the baguette," to her comments about people of other lands and her a$$ whooping of Brent out in the vineyard - she has proven herself to be a class act worthy of representing our fair country!!! Gag me!

I just tried to personally resolve the 'Who's more loathsome: Brent or Linda?' question and got the beginnings of a headache out of it -- before coming down on the Linda side, mostly because Brent has yet to pass on his shortcomings to a next generation. You may need a separate thread here to get this properly voted on. I don't know if you want one...

What could the buyer of your unwanted RP sigpic do with to it? And could the same things be done to Brent through the power of sympathetic magic? 'Permanent deletion' would be hard to work both ways, but 'permanent removal from all electronic media' is a faint hope...

It seems that the general consensus is that Caite and Brent are opposed to Carol and Brandi because they are lesbians. However, they don't seem to have a problem with Jordan, even though he is also gay. So do you really think they are bigots, or are they just too immature to overlook a small offense?

Perhaps they aren't aware that Jordan is gay? (Unless I've missed that it's been told to other contestants on TV)

In honour of their use of a label instead of actual names, I think I'll start calling Brent and Caite "The Stupids" or something like that.

I think that last night we got some insight into Caite and her ongoing reaction to THE LESBIANS and the tiara comment.

She complained that every day somebody makes a comment to her about the idiotic response she made during the scholarship contest beauty pageant. I would guess that in most cases she is unable to do anything about it. On the Race, however, she had a microphone and a bit of power that allowed her to lash back. In lashing back at THE LESBIANS, she lashed back at everybody who has ever pointed out that she is an idiot.

What scared me about last night was Brent's (potentially heavily edited) Moment Of Appreciating Someone Else's Culture. This is not the time -- or the team -- I want to see a last-second redemption edit. To get a major one would be hinting at something very ugly ahead.

Reality TV World: Exactly what happened at Lucasfilm with your money and personal stuff? Last night's show really never showed you guys after that so it was a little unclear.

Caite: What happened was Brent and I got there and I had my money bag and in the lobby there are two separate changing rooms -- one for me and one for Jet -- and when Jet came out to bring out his clothes that he had changed out of, he laid it over my money bag knowing that's my money bag. He was playing the game, he knew it was my money bag, he knew I would probably miss it -- so I ran out without it.

Reality TV World: So you know it was deliberate? Did he acknowledge it, or are you ?

Caite: I know it was deliberate. It was the only thing sitting on the entire couch. He knew that wasn't his and he knew it was mine -- or somebody's -- and he deliberately put the clothes over the top of it. He could have laid his clothes somewhere else on the couch. But no, he put it over the top of the money bag. So, yeah.

Oh, please. It's the next great CBS reality contest: find the fifty holes in this story and win fifty dollars! (No actual money will be paid.) And here's Brent complaining about the lack of a bunch point in mid-leg while admitting neither of them took any notes: bring on a more complicated team-gathering memory task because we're not ready for it and that means we'll win! I wouldn't give these two a chance at a 100% accuracy rating on an answer to 'What color is the sky?'

But... I will give them a little benefit of the doubt on this: Brandy in particular may have had a lot more ugliness edited out than we knew.

May. I have to consider the source.

At least I don't have to fear for their children any more.
