"Tammy/Victor break the "no camerapeople" illusion"
Posted by Keyser on 03-03-09 at 00:17 AM
Did anyone notice that when Tammy and Victor bought tickets for their flight, they clearly asked for four tickets. Maybe its happened before, but as far as I know, its the first time you see the teams on camera forget to pretend that they only need two tickets and that they don't also need tickets for the camera people who tag along.Has this happened before? Does this always happen and I just never noticed?

I remember once in a past season - maybe it was Colin/Christie; I'm sure someone will know exactly who it was - I noticed when a racer was at a ticket counter asking for tickets, the lips did not move the same as the sound. The person's lips clearly showed him asking for "four" tickets, but the sound said "two," so they had dubbed it afterward. Not sure if this thread is really "bashing." Victor was a jerk this episode. Maybe that will help.

If a moderator wants to move this to the fan forum, thats fine with me.

YOu make a good point Keyser. I had never noticed that before...but every once in a while I remember that "hey..there is obviously somebody taping this" as I often am stunned at what people do even though they know they are on camera!! It's like when I felt sorry for Linda being lost for about 1 second in the woods...then remembered she obviously had a camera man with her so it was not like she was actually alone!! They must have to take a pretty strict code to not interfer!

Don't you know the cameraperson following Tammy & Victor up that mountain really really really wanted to tell them they were going the wrong way?
Would you want to climb that mountain lugging a heavy camera, filming those two, knowing they were going the wrong way and would have to go down and back up another?

I wondered if Victor found the key because he saw the cameraman pointing at it. We got a closeup of the lost key and right after it Victor went to that spot and found it. I am sure he went to see what the cameraman had been looking at.

LAST EDITED ON 03-14-09 AT 01:06 PM (EST)If I was the cameraman, I'd have "accidently" stepped on the key to make sure they couldn't find it.
Did I mention how much I dislike Victor?
How much do you want to bet he makes his sister run around Siberia in her undies rather than let the world know about his tiny problem?
Edited to credit agman for this great siggie I pulled out of the vault and dusted off

How much do you want to bet he makes his sister run around Siberia in her undies rather than let the world know about his tiny problem?Well, I wasn't complaining. Tammy is hot.

I doubt the view would have been much different if it were Victor.

If each team has 2 production people with them what happens to the 4th person when they go by car. When they are driving I suppose the 4th person is in the back seat but what happens when they are in a cab? In the trunk? Tied to the bumper? Chase car?

Have you ever noticed that sometimes the two persons are squished to one side of the back seat of the cab (like one is in the middle seat and the other is next to the door), as if a third person is also in the back seat directly behind the camera person giving the team less room? 'cause I have.

Last night we saw a covered-up sound operator in the back seat of Tammy and Victor's car. My wife and I rewound the TiVo several times trying to figure out the blanket-covered "lump" that momentarily blocked our view of Tammy.TAR's editing is usually impeccable-- I was surprised.

Not a surprise when you see how tiny these cars are... Usually they're riding in much larger cars to get from one place to another, but these Ladas (?) are tough enough for one person to get into, let alone four - some of whom are packing production equipment.

I am very disappointed that I missed the lump, but I agree that those Ladas are tiny. They are maybe the size of an old-style VW bug, but much less sturdy.
