What would have been funny is if they would have:

a. changed the mystery question the second time around
b. asked the mystery question in Spanish Portugese

Or for the second time, the correct answer should have been double the number of steps. There are 53 steps, but since they had to go up a second time, they had climbed a total of 106 steps. If they needed to give it a third try, the correct answer would be 159 steps, etc.
