Previously: Two hours of poker followed by two hours of SportsCenter. Some would call it nirvana, but I'd call it painful if I actually bothered to watch SportsCenter. It's late on day 6. Team Exodus is in Nashvillle, and they discussed Kerri's pros and cons for our benefit. Briefly, she tried to get a lot done, but annoyed everyone while doing so. They head to the Opryland Hotel. The desk clerk offers them the employee rate - nice, but they need someone to pay for the room. So they approach and befriend a group of young professionals. One of them, Lisa, offers to buy them a room. They're happy about this, and happier that they didn't need Kerri to do it.
Meanwhile, Team Cake is feeling down after the eliminations and defeat by Chamique Holdsclaw. Charles' friends take them to Annmarie's friend's house near Baltimore.
Early on day 7, Team Moses finds themselves cautiously optimistic about meeting their new teammate. Stacey finds herself a little apprehensive about meeting her (they think it's a female teammate). Their goal for today is to get to Lexington, Kentucky to meet female professional boxer Julia Day and knock her socks off - or at least survive a round with her. They find two ladies who were heading that way and get a ride with them.
Cake & Bake is in Silver Springs. They plan to head back to Washington DC, pick up the car that's waiting for them at the Capitol Building, and head to Cleveland to try their luck at Jacobs Field with the Indians.
Exodus gets dropped off at Fords' Fitness Center, where Ms. Day's manager, Gerald, is working out. They try to impress upon him how important the task would be to them, but he's not buying it because there's nothing in it for either him or his client. After a commercial break, Team Exodus miraculously changes tactics and Gerald starts to come around. He agrees to find a boxing ring for them to set up their match.
Just before they take off, they meet their new teammate... it's Eric. He gets a warm reception from the others.
Doug is elected to box with Julia Day, since he boxed in college. He took several hard hits, but managed to survive the required three minutes. Even though the "judges" gave the decision to Ms. Day overwhelmingly, this is good enough for a 6-4 lead for Team Exodus. After a celebratory dinner at McDonald's, they head to Cincinnati.
A bit later, Team Cake stops in Pittsburgh, where they meet their new teammate... Kerri. Charles is quite enthusiastic about this. Kristin wasn't too happy, but was willing to play along. Annmarie didn't care for this twist at all. The two incumbent ladies let Kerri know about their concerns. They make it to Charles' friend's house, where they spend the night. Kerri shows off her bruise from the highdive of a few days previous. Nasty. Kerri confesses she likes Charles - not in that way, of course.
It's day 8 and Team Exodus shows up at the Cincinnati Bengals' minicamp. Eric shows his aggression, but the team successfully restrains him. Jack Brennan, the Bengals' PR guy, shows up to try to help. The task they want to get done is to dump Gatorade on coach Marvin Lewis. Jack informs them that Marvin will be tied up for awhile. They elect to wait, of course. So they wait. And wait. And wait. Players and coaches stream by. And they still wait. Where's Jack?
Meanwhile, Team Cake needs a ride to Jacobs Field, and guess who gets it for them? Of course. At Jacobs Field, they want to try one of three tasks - get a hit using an All-Star's bat, turn a double play with A. Rod (Cleveland was playing Texas on this day), or sell 100 hot dogs while consuming 10. Kerri talked to the Indians' PR guy and they whiffed on the first two, but they are allowed to sell hot dogs. Charles sold all the hot dogs, while the ladies steered customers in his direction. He ate the first five dogs while working with no problems. On the sixth he began to feel sick, but eventually he got them down. Now Team Cake is only down 6-5.
Team Exodus is still waiting in Cincy. But they get a call from Jack. Marvin doesn't want to do it; he'd rather get Gatoraded by the team when they win their next playoff game, sometime in the next decade. The guys were understanding, but Stacey less so. They get their smack call from the Cake & Bakers, and they work on plan B - heading out to River Downs, a local race track.
Now that they've done their task in Cleveland, Team Cake looks for a ride to Chicago. They find Troy, who offers to take them there. But first they stop by his place of business, an adult night club. Poles, mirrors, near naked ladies... yep, this is a strip club. The reactions were predictable - Charles was having a grand old time, Kerri was down with it, Kristin displeased but willing to suck it up for the team. And Annmarie loathed every minute of it. I got some heavy Team Contact vibes from the whole scene.
Team Exodus finds themselves at River Downs. The PR guy there is helpful, but it's the last race of the day, so if they want to get in the winners' circle, they have to get going now. They motor on down... and that's the show, folks.
NEXT WEEK: Greg takes on a WNBA player, Team Cake fights and finally gets The Boot.
* OK, SO I WAS WRONG ABOUT THE SWITCH. I don't watch enough reality shows to notice the signs. I don't watch many reality shows because most of them, well, bite the big one. This is one of the few that doesn't... yet.* Actually, I think the switch was better for the show than what I thought was going to happen (celebrities). Stars would have unbalanced the show some.
* I'm about 80% sure I know which team wins this. It doesn't show on the scoreboard or the map yet, but I'm picking up on the signs here and there. It will be interesting to see if I'm right.
I hate to admit this, but I used to attend some of the Bengals games back when they used to be good (yeah, I know I'm old). Paul Brown would never have taken a Gatorade bath just to get on TV (too bad he didn't teach his kids anything about football), so it was gratifying to see that Marvin Lewis wouldn't do it either....And nice work with the summary, realitybites. Keep it up! There's no shame in being wrong about the swap. It seems to me that I once wrote that the producers of Love Cruise wouldn't be stupid enough to add a third team to the final vote --- but I underestimated their ignorance.

My first posts were there, and I had things figured out pretty well - I picked the winner, and correctly figured the third couple would end up second. But BMP made up the rules as they went along, and made a passably entertaining show into a laughingstock.
Back on topic, thanks for the kind words.
Love the summaries and the show as well. I just wish it wasn't moved to midnight on the east coast. Being a big sports fan I think it's amazing to see some of the people and places they encounter. It's interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes of a sporting team. Again, great job with the summaries, I'll look foward to reading them each week. I just want to add that Annmarie is a total hottie!
Thanks for your kind words. I too dislike the show's new time slot. I still think it's worth staying up for - or at least taping.
Just wanted to say nice job realitybites! It is great to read your summaries and your comments, predictions, etc.FYI - I think the show may be on Wednesday this week?!?! That is what the website says. I am on the freakin' show and I don't even know...talk about organization?
So I guess just keep a look out for Wednesday also!
Word-
Kristin
Okay......so since I am so smart and thought that the show was Wednesday, I just wanted to clarify------Wednesday at 12am is actually Tuesday on the West Coast...duh!!?!??
Anyway, sorry for the stupid moment!
Thanks for watching!
K
Kristin - are you kidding me?you crack me up, and by the way - you looked especially sassy last week.

Welcome to the board, Kristin! And thanks for the compliments. I'm glad you found us here, and I'll say the same things I did to Greg and Annmarie - we're nice people here and feel free to bring your friends. If you're up for it, I can set up a questions thread for you like I did for Annmarie & Greg. I have a few questions for you, and I'm sure I'll have more after Tuesday's (Wednesday's?) show.
>we're nice people here and
>feel free to bring your
>friends.

...I'm really not that nice. Go ahead, ask around.
That's OK. Every family has their share of eccentrics.
Hey realitybites! Do you mind if I summarize this week's episode (whenever it's on)?I wanna get some writing in before I enter something into the Story Competition!
BTW, hi Kristin!
Be my guest. I haven't heard of any time period changes this week, so I'm assuming it's still on at midnight eastern time.Good luck to you.
