Looks like July 8th is the premiere night for the new season, for the three of us who watched it.http://espn.go.com/eoe/bbd2/index.html
Come in a stranger,leave a little stranger
Thanks for sharing. I collected some other preseason tidbits about the show and posted them here.It looks like another fun season, and I don't have anything better to do in that time... deal me in for a recap.

combination Amazing Race, Road Rules and Lost (if anyone remembers that last one).My only question is do you have to have major connections to get casted on this show cause in this ep first we had one of the guys call up a Miami Heat player on the cell phone and convince him sight unseen to meet them at the Arena. Then a different guy just happens to have a buddy that works with the Atlanta Falcons. Also, throughout the show they were able to find many friends willing to get up at a moments notice and give the group a 5-8 hour one way car ride?????
But the topper of them all was when the one girl grabbed some strangers cell phone and made a long distance phone call to her buddy billionaire Joe Malouf and ten minutes later Malouf is asking HER if it would be a wise move on his part to spend $60,000 to fly his private jet across the country to pick them up in Atlanta...all this without even knowing that this was all for a tv show?????? If she said yes, he would've done it, no doubt.
Something is really fishy about this show cause this world that they are portraying simply does not exist.
>combination Amazing Race, Road Rules and Lost (if anyone
>remembers that last one).I remember "Lost" fondly, though I'm sure most people reading this don't, or don't want to. I've never seen "Road Rules", and I know your feelings on TAR, so we're not going there.
>My only question is do you have to have major connections
>to get casted on this showIt seems to help a lot. There was this one lady on the original BB&D, Juliet, who came from a wealthy family and had relatives here there and everywhere that were willing to help out with whatever they needed - rides, tickets, places to stay, you name it. Her team won, of course.

Sorry, couldn't resist, Chessmaster.
Yeah, but this show is called "Beg, Borrow, and Deal". Yet, one of the teams wasn't really doing any of that. They had one girl who had superior connections, that's why they won. This was really one of the most boring reality shows I've ever seen. (Caught the marathon while working out one day) The outcome of the show was never in doubt, one team had such a huge lead all the way through, you knew they were going to win.
With all the psycho sports fanatics out there, there are 100 more interesting reality shows ESPN could have put together. Instead we have this.
>(Caught the marathon
>while working out one day)Damn, that must have been one hell of a workout...
I also caught the end of a marathon... I think it was the Friday after Thanksgiving. I saw the last 4-5 episodes and it seemed enjoyable enough, but it wasn't anything that I felt I needed to tape last night. But maybe I'll check out one of the repeat airings this week and give it another chance.
