Yeh.. it was a good show. Some of the people dissapointed me though, because they were better before, like Moy. The one person who blew me away was Shannon. She was great, and she picked a really good song for her voice.

Coming into the show tonight, I like Serena, Harlemm, and I am absolutely in love with Jamisen Tiangco. I guess I'm going to end up kind of biased when reviewing her.

This is a live review while watching my tape of "Fame"... feel free to fast forward to see my final postings.

Raymond Lee... eh... I'd hope he'd do better, but I think he might be out of his league.

As much as I love Jamisen, she spent the entire time imitating and channeling Janet Jackson. It actually sounded like a lipsync. She sounded exhausted near the end of the performance. Still lots of love for Jamisen, the dancing was great, but I don't know about that performance.

One thing with these bios are just all these stupid sob stories... let's vote for Moy not because she has a nice voice, but because she has financial problems at home. Enough with the sob stories.

Moy (Eve) sounds nasally on some of her pitches. When she tries to hit the higher notes, she's either too whispy or nasally. Moy was okay, but she needs a consistency that I didn't see.

Johnny Wright: "You did this wrong... You did this wrong... Overall it was a decent performance."

So far, I think these performers are trying to hard to sound like the original artists and aren't really showing any personality in their performances.

Brandon O'Neal did pretty good. He's not overdoing anything, and he's got a Charles Grigsby essense about him, but the Josh Gracin/Clay Aiken faces when he sings. I liked it.

Poor Carnie has to step over all her comments because she's scared of Debbie jumping out and cutting her.

Allyson Arena sounds and looks like Bernadette Peters, it's bizarre. I didn't like her voice with the song though. Her voice has a really weird pitch to it, there's a forum for it, but I don't think a Celine Dion ballad fits it. Hmm... I'd say she did okay, it was unique, but I don't think she should do ballads anymore, she doesn't have that chesty voice that molds well to the power ballads.

Justin Jacoby (Eminem) definitely makes himself stand out and he's awesome, but he channels Eminem a bit too much, nonetheless, he's AWESOME, and I'd LOVE to see him go far in this competition.

SHUT UP DEBBIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debbie loves Johnny because he's complimenting EVERYBODY.

Alex is showing a lot of cleave in the "Fame" number.

"Get Here"!!!!, I LOVE that song, and Harlemm Lee rocks... sounds like a good combo. HARLEMM RULES!. His opening into the song, and his little riffs throughout the song are impeccable and it adds SO MUCH to the performance. He made the song his own, and put in a lot of his own fun nuances. HARLEMM, best performance so far. There's a reason I LOVE this guy!

Thanks Debbie for calling him out like that. It was meant to be inspirational, but way to call him out like that. Debbie Allen, you're digging a hole...

Lauren Hildebrandt, great opening. I'm feeling her groove, and I do like her voice. (I don't think I've had this much positive stuff to say about "Fame"... and I turning over that new leaf?) Good performance, tough to follow up Harlemm, nothing spectacular, but really good.

Garry Adams, okay. That's all. I don't really have too much to say.

I don't like "Proud Mary", had a bad experience... so I'm always iffy when somebody sings it, like when Trenyce sang it. I'm going to say the same thing I said about Shannon, I think most of her stuff is the girations and her look. Her singing is pretty average.

Wah...Wah...Wah...These little bio snippets...::sigh::

Alex is still showing a lot of cleave. LoL. I don't know how I feel about this performance. He definitely has a nice voice, but I thought the performance was kind of boring. But AWESOME voice nonetheless.

Serena Henry, the last of my three. Well she definitely has the energy. I'm still a fan of hers, but I think since her first audition, I'm looking for something more and she's been letting me down since that first audition, she's still very talented, but there might be a reason why she's a lounge singer. I think the reason I thought the performance was kind of okay was the overly done riffs.

(----FAST FORWARD ENDS HERE----)

Who are my picks after tonight's show?

Brandon O'Neal, Justin Jacoby, Harlemm Lee, and Lauren Hildebrandt

(Still love Jamisen and Serena, just wasn't feeling them tonight)

Wouldn't mind seeing go homae after tonight?

Raymond Lee, Allyson Arena, Garry Adams

LMAO, I have duct tape. In the south that is a fix all

I am not sure who my very favorite is, YET! Give me another week. However, I did enjoy the show and LOVE they are limiting the calls.

Those spoiler clips were too much! I thought a few of them were going to hurt something or someone.

except for the stars that get sucked up by a black hole or turn into a super nova and explode. Some friends are like that!

"Can't Vote"

After the AI fiasco I wasn't going to vote, but when they limited it to 5, I thought well maybe this really is legitimate, this time. Not. 2 minutes after the show ended I got the recording: We have reached the limit of votes for your time zone, try again next week.

My favorites were:
1.Serena
2.Harlemm
3.Shannon
4.Justin
5.Moy
6.Jameson

In that order.

I enjoyed this show. I thought proud mary was good. But I like the song and she did do it justice.

I loved Harleem. Great song. And since age did not matter why did she bring it up?

I liked the girl who sang the celine dion song. Not as good as last week or as she was in the production numbers, she is good though and she can dance and sing and would be great on Broadway.

I really enjoyed tonight's show, but for most of the performers, the personal snippets took away from my enjoyment of their performance. Producers - please, spare us any more!!!! (I know that isn't going to happen - our heartstrings are supposed to be tugged or something)

Raymond Lee: I enjoyed his song, his voice is not as strong as I would hope, but he was entertaining and energetic. I don't think he'll make it to the final 5, but I think he'll survive the cut this time.

Jamisen: she's really beautiful, but her performance was probably the worst of the group tonight. She got through it but just barely.

Moy: Her performance tonight had some rougher patches and I think one of the judges said she may have picked a song that is currently beyond her range and I agree. She's cute, but I was turned off by the info about how she's behind on her car payments, blah, blah, blah. Guess what, that happened to me once, and I didn't even get to be on Fame or have any other good excuse - just got behind on the payments like the poor financial planner I used to be!

Brandon O'Neal: For the young kid, I think he has great charisma and stage presence - it surprised me.

Allyson Arena: She does have a good voice for Broadway, but she seems a little out of water with contemporary music.

Justin Jacoby: This has nothing to do with his performance, but his confessional was the only one that actually broke my heart. His absentee dad turns up now, when Justin has a chance to be famous - how convenient is that timing? And Justin is obviously so happy about it. "My dad wants to be head of security for me." Awwwww Justin, I am so hoping your dad doesn't let you down again, if you don't make the finals. But leopards don't change their spots all that often. I'm not into rap, so I have no idea if he would be considered a contender in that genre.

Harlemm Lee: He is my favorite. He has such command of his voice, and I adore him. 27 or 36 - I don't care and I thought Debbie could have handled that in a better way." I really am rooting for him to win it all.

Lauren Hildebrandt: Is this the girl that used her confessional to talk about how much she loves her boyfriend of 2 month or whatever? Zzzzzzzz. Her performance was okay, but not on par with Harlemm or with Shannon.

Garry Adams: His performance was okay, but someone needs to tell him not to talk - he lost me when he opened his mouth to talk to the judges.

Shannon Bex: She knocked that song out of the park! There is no denying her talent.

Alex Boyd: He's a cutie all right, and his performance was indeed smooth. He's a charmer.

Serena Henry: I was disappointed in her performance, and didn't think it was all that great. But the judges seemed to think differently. Whatever.

HARLEMM was fantastic!

Most spectacular, Harlemm Lee!! I can't believe it--his performance made me cry. I'm rooting for him all the way! How can you deny the sheer talent and the magneticism? I really wish him the best.

"Harlemm!!"

So he lied. Big deal. It doesn't matter!! He ROCKED the house last night. WOW! I really really really like this guy. I think he is in the top spot right now.

My second fav would be Serena (although I hate that Whitney Houston song). And I really like Shannon. I think she has star quality. Justin cracks me up. I'm not a fan of rap, but I like him. I also like Allyson, but like many have said, she should be on Broadway.

The rest... eh. They still need to impress me.

Here are my 5 favorites since I didn't get to vote:

Harlemm-He was great! I think Debbie brought up the age thing to give him more confidence in himself. He was very intimidated by the youngsters and in Show Biz that can't happen. You have to be proud of your age.

Serena-She is from my hometown so I have to root for her. I liked her first performance better though! I think the judges are right about the competition being between Serena and Harlemm.

Brandon-I miss his dancing, but I appreciate that he was giving the judges what they asked for.

Shannon-I am a Tina Turner fan and there are some songs that are only made for 1 person. Proud Mary is one of them, I mean who else has got Tina's legs? But I will give Shannon credit she gave a good performance although she was no Tina!

Alex-He keeps singing my favorite songs! I think he first performance was better. I liked the intro and I think that song is so cute! But he did a good job and he is smooth!

So if I had voted, those would have been my five. I guess I will have to be sure to not miss the first 5 minutes next week!

Oh! One more thing! I REALLY enjoyed the Fame dance number in that they all performed. It was really great! They all performed well together!
