YAY !!!!! WOO-HOO !!!!! The most deserving person won. Good for him.As for Shannen, I don't see what so spectacular about her. She's a great dancer, but mediocre singer. I thought Serena and Brandon were better than her.
But still, she got a contract by Johnnie, even though she lost. To me she's just a Britney copycat. The other three finalists were pretty unique.
I love that Harleem won, great ending.

I am very happy that Harleem won because he deserved it and he is very original, even though I do like Shannon because she may look like Brittany Spears (though I think she is prettier) but she can sing very soulfully, and she is a natural dancer also, unlike Brittany Spears, who can't sing or dance she always looks like she is trying to hard, Brittany better watch her back because Shannon's got a contract and I think once she comes on the scene, everyone's going to say Brittany who. Harleem is very talented and I happen to like the fact that he is 34 or 35, sorry I forgot exactly how old he is but it's good to see someone his age beat out a lot of young kids very encouraging for the rest of us 30-somethings, GO HARLEEM.

I do have to say I wasn't impressed with the final song he sang but I'll put that down to nerves and the excitement of winning.I also agree Shannon looks like Britney Spears but she is talented and I think her body is way nicer than Britney's. I will buy Harlemm's album. Johnnie got the best of both worlds. Shannon will sell records for him (she could be Britany's sister), but Harlemm is so unique and will grab an untapped audience, IMO. I was SO thrilled that he won. And he was so humble about it.... He's going to be a star.I'm echoing what everyone else has said, but I must say it too...the audience FINALLY got it right this time!

Harlemm is the stage name for Gerry Woo who had a recording contract in the 80s and was also a regular on star search. He had hair back then. And it turns out Tyce, the spoiler, had a long list of credits also.
Ok..i know I am way late in replying to this forum 'cause I just found this messageboard..but I have to agree...the people got it right this time. Harlemm certainly had the talent to back up that triple threat they were looking for. Who would have thought that a 36 year old man would beat out all those teeny boppers and 20 somethings?? It's awesome. He definitly was the most deserving. Congrats to Harlemm!
I really didn't like this show. I can't believe the NBC execs put it on. American Juniors was more entertaining.
