I caught Tough Crowd on Comedy Central last night, featuring Rich, Dave, Cory and Rob(?) from LCS. Their first discussion topic was "How did Dat happen?" It was really funny, but I have to say now, I think I had an epiphany last night.Sure, maybe Dat Phan shouldn't have won. But none of the others were really standing out, either. So maybe by having Dat Phan win, they have this given understanding that it was somehow unfair, and now all five of them really won. I've seen the others on every show under the sun making appearances, but no Dat Phan. Makes you wonder who really was the winner, and I don't think it was Dat Phan.

Y'know what's not funny? "Tough Crowd" is not funny. It is the elephant's graveyard of comedy. Buncha snide Gotham insiders playing the dozens on each other, pushing the same buttons. Dave and Rob can be excused for wanting their 15 mins, but Rich and Corey call it home.Y'know what I like about Dat Phan? Whatever else he is -- He's not THAT.

I watched Tough Crowd the night these four were on. All I kept thinking was "so what, you lost. Get over it already. Dat Phan kicked your lame asses." They weren't funny, it was so choppy listening to each of them try to casually toss off one-liners, only to hear the thud when they hit the floor. Poor Rob - he was so nervous. I heard him the other day on a local radio station and he confirmed he was very nervous, almost to the point of throwing up before going on.

i finally realized that 'tough crowd' is a right wing religious political advertisement.
both colin and bush are reformed drug addicts ; are unintelligable ; have had religion beaten into them ; and have iq's about the same +/- 90-100.
neither one can think ahead and the skits they both put on are neither thoughtful or funny , but dogmatically neoconservative and not controlled by them ---they are both puppets manipulated by those surrounding them.
too bad-------could be a great show if it were realy 'a show' with patrice , norton,keith , greg and the football player. i.e. get rid of one sided right wing pols and the bullshit religion they both try to impress upon those who do not agree with them---until then i'll stick with south park , crank yankers ,the daily show, ballet and opera.
