Man, who knew comics were so mean-spritied and cutthroat? It was sad seeing Tere Joyce go last night,a nd she did have a good set... and with the "Right on cha-cha-cha!". But Corey Kahaney was HILARIOUS.
"The ill na-na?"
I'm not looking forward to next week because they're all targetting Dat Phan. I really hope he doesn't go home, he's my favorite.
If Dat Phan goes home, then it's clear they're starting to go after their threats becasue Dat Phan is the funniest out there.
And is Tess getting REALLY ANNOYING??? I understand she's trying to be funny with her attitude, but I can't help but think her attitude is more real than trying to be funny.
I was sorry to see Tere go, also. I did not think Cory had it in her to do well, and she surprised me.Sure Tess' attitude is real. She's not annoying yet, but could quickly become so... and I wonder how she continues to win the "immunity challenges"...
Yes, it's being edited that Dat Phan will be targeted next. Why, I dunno. They better start worrying about Ralphie and Tess.
For me, I'm sooooo ready to see Vos get waxed. He's starting to irritate me.

I knew Tere was going to be in the head-to-head during last week's previews, when they showed her saying, "I know I'm funnier than..." Now I'm just trying to figure out if they're hitting us over the head with the fact that Dat is going, or if Dat is going to win either the immunity or the head-to-head.I wasn't disappointed to see Tere go, because I was surprised when she made the top 10. She did have a good set, though. I was nervous about Cory, because she was very funny the first week but not as funny in Las Vegas, but she was very good.
I think that Ralphie, Dave, Rich, and Tess have pretty much realized that they are the top 4 and are deciding in which order the others are going to go. I think the guys underestimated Tess at first, but Rich's tone after her "Extra" bit showed me that he realizes she is a major threat.
So, who do you think they are going to target to go against Dat? Do you think the 4 strongest are going to protect some of the others by putting themselves in the position to take him out? With 4 votes, they can pretty much determine who's the next in the challenge. Or do you think they'll have the next person in their pecking order vote with them so that Dat would pick that person to go up against? And who do you think that is? I'm leaning toward Rob (with Geoff, then Cory as the rest of the pecking order).
They were also talking about keeping someone around because he might not have outlived his usefulness yet. Do you think they were talking about Dat, or could it have been Geoff or Rob?

I personally was glad Tere went... her blowfish-head hairdo and "right on cha cha cha" bit really got on my nerves. Plus, I think she's too thin-skinned and doesn't really handle criticism well. It IS about ego, but bottom line all I care about is if they can make me crack up.If they are targeting Dat next, they should probably think twice because I think he could knock out several of them. And it would be good to see Tess NOT get immunity to see if anyone throws out a general challenge to her.
And what's with Rich Voss always ironing his pants?
I'd rather see Rich ironing his pants than in a bubble bath with Dave.

Did anyone record the July 1 episode? I'd like to get a copy for a reasonable price.
If you get Comedy Central it will repeat July 5 in the evening.
By coincedence, after I made that request, I found out it was going to be repeated on Comedy Central. But thanks for telling me anyway!
Yep, that was an image I could have done without. I wonder, was any new material generated in that communal bath?
Mmmm Topaz
I was glad to see Tere go too. You are right, in that kind of business you must be thick-skinned. She was getting on my last nerve with all that whining.I think Rich is the official house "iron boy". And Ralphie doesn't know he is a white boy.
man.... thanks so much for posting the results of last night's show (lasty comic standing)... i have been searching the web for some time and it took your posting to finally give me the answer i was looking for...
btw i am pleased that Tere is gone and i do agree with you i'm rooting for Dat... he is really funny
anyway...thanks again!

I think that now that whatever her name is gone Dat is far and away the LEAST funniest (most unfunny??) in the batch (with Tess running a close second). The guy hasn't made me laugh once and the only reason he got picked is because of his gay assed sob story that he tells every time he thinks someone is within ear shot. And nice friggen book.I also think the fat guy is about as unfunny as it gets. The only reason he got picked is because NBC saw how well Ruben worked out for Fox with AI and they wanted their own grossly obese male to parade around for the cuteness factor. Everything he says is rehearsed, including the tit for tat thing he had with Joe Rogan in the tryouts.
The ones I like are the girl who won last night, the guy who won the first episode, Voss and the white guy with the curly hair.

I also think the fat guy is about as unfunny as it gets. He's got his one bit about the ghetto, and that's it. He sees himself as top 4, and he may be right. Since the voting is based on seeing one routine, he could get away with basically doing the same thing each time he's challenged and survive, if the audiences are different.

I like Cory too, but she makes me nervous. I thought she was very funny in the first episode but weaker in Vegas. Then she was funny again in the challenge. I'm just hoping she can be consistent enough to stick around.
Rob's inconsistent too (the curly-headed guy), but when he's on, he's funny. I just don't know if he's polished enough to pull it off against the others.
Dave and Rich are both comfortable on stage, and have basically built their on-stage persona well around their own personalities. If they made the final 2, I'd be pleased. I'm cheering for Dave to win, since I think he could pull off a sitcom better than the others.

>He's got his one bit about
>the ghetto, and that's it.Ya. Nothing is less funny to me than a white guy who constantly uses ghetto-speak. Poor guy sits around like a blob because that's all he CAN do but thinks if he talks like he's one of the boyz, he's cool. Instead, he's just an embarrassing poseur.
First of all, I'll go along with the concensus that Dave and Vos rock. From what I've seen, they're just all around funny. Tess is still a little bit eh with me, there are reasons to like her and hate her at this point, as with Ralphie.I also didn't get to see any of the audition stuff or the battle last week, so don't know how funny Cory is yet. She seems a little annoying in the house though (but maybe it's just me...meh)
Dat, Rob, and Geoff have yet to impress me.
But what is surprising is how they decided to structure this show. I'm glad they decided to use this Survivor/BBish vote format instead of an AI-type elimination format. Makes it a lot more interesting and is part of why I'm so hooked
(Another IceCat original)
I thought Tere did too much whining and crying, and I was kind of glad to see her leave.Cory surprised me by being really funny. I missed last week's episode, but I love this show.
