"Black comics of today....."

I think Ty is very witty and intelligent but would someone please explain to me why EVERY black comic out there today HAS to make race an integral part of their routine? Every time I see a black comic, before I can count to 10, they bring up racism.

Bill Cosby said it best. "If a black comic uses race as the sole content or backbone of their routine, they are missing out on so much comedy in everyday life for people of all colors. Not only that, but it's intellectually lazy."

Way to go Josh! Now, come up with a routine that doesn't focus solely on your disability. It's getting old fast.

I agree with you on Josh who I find totally unfunny, and have no idea how any would be able to tolerate an HOUR LONG special of his own.

As far as black comics...maybe if us white people didnt make race such an issue for them, they wouldnt have to talk about it...just a thought.

Plus...Josh got alot of his laughs 2nite from shouting out "black" slang ala "cripples gettin paid" at the end of his skit.

Ty seemed to have a lot of varying content however and his routine seems polished and professional. If anybody was basing their act around 1 subject itd be Josh who basically would have nothing to say if it wasnt for his disability.

Are you serious? White people don't make race an issue - black people (at least the uneducated ones)do. Give me a break.

I agree with you about Josh though. I never found him funny especially since 98% of his routine centered around his disability. A good comic should not have to make fun of anyone (even themselves) or rely on racial or ethnic jokes. A good comic should have the ability to make everyone in the room laugh and be able to relate to their jokes. Most comics today don't have any material that doesn't focus on race, nationalities or obesity.

I agree that the above statement is ridiculous.

Any white people who are still today making race an issue are a very small percentage of retards who nobody listens to anyway.
For the rest of us white people who don't ever make it an issue, we'll probably always be accused of it as long as some black people are desperately looking for it.

That being said, I still love the hell out Ty and he makes me laugh, even when he does "I'm a victim of racism" bits.

You can't be serious.... Ty didn't have an ounce of "I'm a victim of racism" in his act. He was making jokes out of everyday life for ALL of us.

Just one of the times he did it was during his last act, where he was talking about being in the south and the cop having him in the headlock.
Like I said, I love Ty. And it's partly because he does this a lot less than most black comics.
