I would like to start out by saying that I lost interest very quickly in this season of LCS! I have been watching Big Brother more regularly than this show. So, I will not bash the comedians as I am not really sure what has happened or how well they have done. I will just summarize the show and let the chips fall where they may!We are now down to seven on each team! Jay is introduced and quickly informs us that this will be a show of twists and turns! Let’s get to the winners and losers! Season 2 wins ANOTHER $50,000 for winning this week and continuing their streak. The comics that are in danger are:
SEASON 1:
Geoff Brown
Sean KentSEASON 2:
Todd Glass
AntJay informs us that 3 comics will be chosen to perform this week. The other 3 will perform at a roast next week and the person to be roasted will be…him! Jay Mohr!
Jay then introduces Louis Anderson representing season 1 and Carrot Top representing season 2! WTF? We have no idea if these two are guest or if they become part of the team. No discussion as Jay then explains that there are envelopes in the war rooms that will reveal the next twist!
We get back from commercial and the envelopes are opened to reveal the next twist. Three comics will perform tonight (so I guess the guest are not part of the team and are truly guest) and the two with the fewest votes will go home. The person that receives the most votes is the ONLY one that stays!
Both seasons labor over who performs tonight and who will do the roast next week. So, here is the line-up for tonight:
SEASON 1:
Dat Phan
Ralphie May
Dave Mordal
Louie AndersonSEASON 2:
John Heffron
Kathleen Madigan
Jay London
Carrot TopFirst up from season 2 is Kathleen. I am not a big fan and she didn’t really do too well! IMHO! Her best joke was taking kids to Disney and asking for an alcoholic drink. She said they told her that there was no alcohol in Disney. She said, “Well the ticket says this is the happiest place on Earth!”
Dave from season 1 is next and does a much better job. His best line was discussing the man in England that is suing the palace because he was raped twice while at work. He says, “what did the man say after the first time…hey that’ll be enough of that!”
John Heffron is up next and his set concentrates on his mom cutting his hair when he was younger. It was cute but Dave was the best so far!
Dat Phan is up and starts out by making fun of his name. I must say that Dat did his usual make fun of Vietnamese and things like they are taking over America by doing nails!
Jay London is up next and he does all his one-liners…as usual! I don’t much like this style but he can be fun at times. His best was, “what do you think of sex in the ‘90’s…it’s hot!”
Last but not least, Ralphie from season 1. Ralphie usually cracks me up however this time, he didn’t do as well as I have seen. His set is talking about African Americans and what they should really be called. OK set but not great!
Louie Anderson and Carrot Top finish the show. Let me say that I am usually not a big fan of Carrot Top but I do like Louie Anderson! However, after watching their performances, I liked both of them about the same! Carrot was funny and I might add, had huge guns!
Time to see who gets axed!
From SEASON 1: Sean is gone!
From SEASON 2: Ant is gone!

Thanks vols. I have missed a couple shows and now I'm all up to date again. Great job.

Yeah, thanks vols! I haven't seen a single episode because I've been teaching on Tuesday nights (I even had to come here to get the update on the BB finale, luckily I was home in time for TAR!)... so I have to rely on these updates. I always seem to miss the rerun on Comedy Central too, guess I'm not so crazy about LCS3.
Oh, vols, you were much too nice to everyone. The funniest part of this show is when we all bash the comedians in the summary. Are you feeling okay? C'mon, bash someone - it will make you (and the rest of us) feel so much better. There was lots of bash-worthy material. Thanks for the summary!

Thanks for the summary! I missed most of this ep so I was behind on what was going on. Tonight was weird--they did a roast.Jay is so evident reading a teleprompter. Really, Jay, practice just a bit more! He was funny in his wrap up in the roast, though.
I am not a Todd Glass fan but tonight he was funny. Maybe he grows on you.
Maybe he grows on you.
Like a fungus grows on trees??
Am I the only one that noticed that Dat Phan didn't have a single shred of new material? Every single line was recycled from his Season 1 appearances - the nail salon stuff, the Brady Bunch stuff... Same thing last time he was on. I haven't heard a single new bit from him since he first appeared. And not only does he need some new material, he needs something that isn't about being Vietnamese. C'mon, people on this board were all over Ant for not having any material that isn't about being gay - how about Dat not having any material that isn't about coming from Viet Nam?I also felt really uncomfortable listening to Ralphie May. I don't want to sound PC, but he really wasn't funny. A lot of stuff about African Americans who have never been to Africa - which could have been funny/insightful if he'd extended the idea to Irish Americans, Polish Americans, etc. Instead it just came over as borderline racist - a thinking man's Andrew Dice Clay.
Overall, the whole show was a dud (I guess it doesn't help that I hate Carrot Top). The funniest moment was a throwaway line from somebody (Rich Voss?) in the green room: "Ralphie May could eat Dat Phan whole... but he'd be hungry again 30 minutes later".
