I don't remember him being anywhere near that funny in Season 1. If he was entering the house fresh at this level of talent and material, Dat would have been taken down by a more sympathetic edit: 'Oh, I'm poor' vs. 'Oh, I nearly died'. And Nearly Died was the funnier of the two last night.I'll risk this prediction: Sean's not going home next Tuesday. And I actually want to hear more.
I think Geoff from Season One was the most improved. In fact, my husband and I barely remembered him, but laughed several times during his two minutes. I was surprised by him. I'm looking forward to hearing more from him.
I kinda think I liked him better than in S1, as well. And I definitely liked the whole set better than the so called heavy hitters from the first night. Geoff was hilarious, and I liked Rob Cantrell better than last season, too. Tere, while she made me chuckle...she still makes me itchy. And as for Dat...oh well.
I thought Sean was much better this year than last as well. I even liked Tere this time and I remember that last year I couldn't stand her. But after seeing all 10 comics now, I'm still pulling for season 2 at this point.Best Joke of the Night prize goes to Kathleen Madigan: "Osama bin Laden's still in hiding. In other words, he's playing peek-a-boo." If I'd been drinking a beverage, it would have come out my nose.
So glad he didn't get eliminated.
Rob Cantrell--not as good as last year.Selling house plants on the corner? The audience was not rolling like it was for some of the others.
I predict he is gone next week.
Now he is talking about legalizing pot. So topically he will have some fans. Ben Franklin with a game boy...
