I almost fell off my chair when I had to listen to Dat do the "all Chinese people know Karate" routine for what feels like the hundredth time.I could literally recite it word for word and it still isn't funny (never was). I mean dude you're on national TV and you're telling the same lame jokes again - a year later!!!. Then I was listening to John Heffron on Howard Stern this morning saying how all the comics had used up their best material for the show and now they can't use any of it in there standup acts anymore cause everyone's heard it. Now I'm no standup comic but I really feel that I would be able to come up with a couple of differnt routines - and quickly. Are you telling me that Corey really thinks his act is so funny that he has to tell it over and over again. Whatever happened to spontanity? I just don't get it. You're on TV, and you're telling the same jokes over and over-pick up a paper! I could do 5 hrs on George Bush alone...
I know what you mean, mochiba. Dat uses different jokes to say the same thing over and over. But if they all only used the good stuff one time, alot of people wouldn't hear it. Like they say, "if it aint broke, don't fix it". However, like you said, there is alot of good material out there. Letterman and Leno have different jokes every night. (although they also have writers) Anyhow, welcome to the boards!!
