"john's wife"

interesting to see his lovely wife...kinda weird when she came up on stage...i have decided that husbands getting the limelight should be alone on the stage to accept.
its ok if wives sit in the audience and cry and clap.
i ended up watching his reaction as she stuck her fingers in his "butt end beltloop" and he turned around to see ?what is that??" and then turns out to be her. and he didn't really care if ya know what i mean.
oh well...
i am glad he won......

Molly,

I had the opportunity to be in the audience the night of the finals and know that the NBC staff told friends and family of all possible winners that they should go on stage when the winner was announced. Being a WIFE qualifies as Friend and Family, and that is why she went on stage.

Believe me, if my spouse won anything, handyman of the year, whatever, I would be there to cheer him on and if asked to go on stage I WOULD.

And, if I looked as great as she does, I'd stride on stage.

I don't remember John reacting the way you depict him, but if he did it's probably because HE JUST WON a major competition and is in a daze? If that happened to you and at the same time you felt a tug at your butt do you think you'd react to the man telling you your life is about to change, or your wife pulling on your belt loop?

There were so many things going on at one time you really must give them both a break.

point accepted...but i guess thats what makes the world go round.
differences of opinion.

i would let my husband shine in his limelight and if they want to show me out in the audience all excited and happy for him.
good for me...but this is about him...

just sayin.
