Dat just simply has no sense of humour. Has anyone else noticed that? He has no talent and no sense of humour - he just works hard. Maybe that'll be enough for him. I know who I'd rather hang out with and who I'd pay to go and see. Certainly not Dat.

No, that's pretty much the same thing that's being discussed in at least three other threads.

Thanks for starting a fourth, though.

He's funny to a point, but I think the Vietnam jokes are going to have a short shelf life. Same w/ the accent. When he was joking about his dating life it was funny. Ralphie repeated himself too much tonight, with the "I want cheap gas" and "light 'em up!" ad nauseum. OK, we get it Ralphie. Tess was great, love her facial expressions. Rich was pretty good, the best overall tonight. Cory was all right but repeated some material. She plays to the crowd well though.

Noted that you won't spend your money on Dat's comedy act. But he does have a sense of humor... even if it's unpolished.

You really think he has a sense of humor? What's the evidence? I must have missed it.

Humor is subjective. Some people think some things are funny, others think other things are funny, and sometimes what one person thinks is funny, another doesn't.

I thought Dat Phan was very funny. I also think he has a sense of humor, but its not expressed in the same way one might expect Dave Mordal (who I don't think is funny at all, from what I've seen so far) or Rich Vos to express it. Nothing wrong with that.

So yes, I think Dat Phan has a sense of humor. And that's my subjective opinion. No "evidence" required. If your opinion differs, then it differs.

I thought Dat Phan was funny. He just needs practice to get a flow going. As far as evidence, I guess I would point to his having won the two challenges in a row.

Bottom line is this: his jokes rely on his heritage, which may not be everyone's cup of tea. But Ralphie May and Tess joke about their bodies, which also may not be everyone's cup of tea.

As my mom says, that's why they make chocolate and vanilla.

I agree. Dat is not funny, He has no sense of humor and is essentially a one trick pony. His entire act revolves around his "funny" Asian voices. To mix it up he makes fun of his mom in an Asian voice. Dat works hard. So what? I know plenty of people who work hard at singing but they can't carry a tune in a bucket. Take away the Asian voices and he has nothing.

I was really disgusted when Dave lost to Dat. First of all Dave wasn't as good as we had seen him previously. Secondly, he was still better than Dat, unless you like puerile humor.

Of all the people in the house, I thought Dave was the best. He had the better material, delivery and presence.

Having said that, I thought Ralphie was very good tonight. He went for it. I was dissappointed in Rich, having never seen his set, I expected more from the "Don". I think he played it too save and it will cost him. If Dat wins, I know it is rigged.

Whenever I see Dat I say this to myself. "dat's not funny". Yes if I saw his routine once I would probably laugh a little but I would not be picking him as my headliner. I don't know if seeing him in real life is making me not like him but he is a naive, clueless dork and if I knew him in real life, I'd make fun of him too. He's just the kind of simpleton that gets picked on, even by the nicest people. I can't believe he beat that one guy when he was challanged. I was kind of happy for him because they gave him so much crap. Anyways, he better not win the whole thing.

I like the fat guy a lot! He funny. Doesn't have to use his mothers foreign accent to make every punch line funny. Why isn't Dat's mother a standup since it's her voice that makes people laugh.

Dear Reality TV Board:

Dat Phan is not funny. His heritage is the only thing he can make jokes about. He is a one-trick pony.

Sincerely,

Then Tess is not funny, either. Her jokes are being an overweight woman. She must be a "one-trick phony," too.
