i have been a fan of john and alonzo since the get-go. but last night i was most impressed with tammy's set. so she got my vote.
I agree, I thought she had the BEST set of any that we heard last night. Maybe it's just that I'm a NY Italian, but she killed last night.How many votes was that?

I wasn't that impressed with Tammy's set last night. It was ok, but wow, some of you really seemed to like it. But then again, I really liked Gary's. Just goes to show how much we all differ.

I'm with you Weltek, Gary hasn't been my favorite as a rule, but he did really well I thought. I have never liked Tammy, so maybe my judgement was clouded. John has been my favorite but he didn't do as well IMO. We tivo'd the show and didn't get to watch until tonight. So we didn't get to vote.If I could have, my votes would have been for John-because he has been consistent, until last night.
Gary- I think he earned it last night.
Alonzo-also consistent, imo.

Together my husband and I voted 27 times for John Heffron. He has been my favorite since the first show I saw.

I thought the fish jokes were great. I would have laughed more at Jay but his habit of belittling himself drives me nuts.

I voted mostly for Jay (a few votes), Alonzo (a few - he was great - as usual!) and one vote for John (just because I liked him throughout the show, even though I did not care for his routine last night). And I got one vote in for Gary (because my mom thinks he's hot! Superficial, I know...but she asked me to vote for him, so there ya go
I voted on-line and I could only vote 3 times with the one email address. So I voted 3 times for Alonzo. I considered voting for others too. But figured they would cancel each other out if I only voted 3 times.

Wow. Does Heffron have this ? I mean - he's getting all these votes and I didn't really think he was that good this past week. I think he's adorable - but - are people voting on performance or likeability ?(Gee...that sounds like a post on the American Idol site! LOL)
if it was performance over likeability then several of the comics (gary, cough cough. kathleen cough cough) wouldn't be there.
I admit John didn't have the best performance this week, but I voted for him based on his performances up until now. Everyone is going to have an off-night now and then, but since the winner is going to get a development deal with NBC (possibly a sitcom), I think he or she needs to be someone who can be humorous and entertaining over a long period of time, not just one or two nights. And let's face it, someone's likeability factor is a big part of whether or not you want to watch them in a standup special or a TV show.
The results....we were actually pretty close, Yaaah US!
