And what was this alliance crap? what is the point in having one anyways? only One person can win so essentially it is every man or woman for themselves!!

As the show goes, i don't think he'll win , but as a fan i hope so . i think john heffron will win against alzonso bowden, just aslong as gary gulman loses,cause he's not funnier than jay london, the only reason he won was because the women think he's hot!!!
The only reason Jay could not win this is the way he puts himself down. The "This is death", "Thank you". "Let me step over here". "0 for 1", "Just two more minutes and this will be over", etc. make me want to jerk him through the screen and yell "STOP IT !!!" He is so great with the one liners, so clever and articulate he dosen't need that part of his act that screams low self esteem. JMHO. He would clearly be number one if not for that. Someone needs to do therapy with him. How do you like Tammy? I think she is evil and so manipulative, look how she set up poor Ant!

I have no sympathy for Ant. he can be very funny at times, but he was just always stirring up trouble. I love seeing the arrogant ones like him, bonnie , and Corey getting taken down!
I disagree. Jay's whole bit is hilarious. He knows he has a bizzare look, so he is using it to his advantage. He also knows it takes time for people to get into the one liners, so he throws in the self-depricating stuff to get the quick chuckle. The self-depricating stuff also serves as a tool to tie his act together. Others tell the same worn out stories, these stories can act as a tie that binds the act together. When you are doing one-liners, that is more difficult and he has learned a way to do it.In my opinion, Jay is the most original (even though he has a Steven Wright type act) and should win. Too bad Dan Natterman could not be here to go up against him.
I agree! I always thought Jay was funny. His delivery and material rather remind me of Steven Wright. I thought Todd was funnier on the results show & if he used that material in the competion he might have won. To my great surprise, the public voted exactly as I saw it Tuesday. Jay, Todd, Ant, Corey, and Bonnie. I believe as first runner up, if Jay is not able to complete his reign as wild card winner, then Todd takes over the crown.
I agree that Todd was funnier on the results show. if he did that act on the voting show i would have voted for him. In fact, I think they were all better on the results show!

not so fast my friend. I think ant did far worse on the results show than he did on the voting show. I thought ant had one of the two best sets on Tuesday's show and was very afraid he would win. But Thursday, he just didn't have it - as usual - and you could tell the only audience members laughing were the three people that NBC claimed were ant's friends.
And even though Bonnie is never really all that funny, she was still better Tuesday than Thursday. That's because on Thursday she was back to doing all the same material she did in her head-to-head against John.

Well, at least this season we don't have a "one joke" person like last year's winner, Dat. He only had one set and while it was humorous the first time, it got old quickly. The final 6 have years of experience, so let's hope that Tuesday's show has them giving us their best!

Personal choice before the show: 1. Gary, 2. Jay, 3. Tammie, 4. John, 5. Kathleen and 6. Alonzo (he's funny, I just don't appreciate him).
While dat phasn did work on only one concept he did have different sets. This year's dat phan is definately Tammy.
I really like Jay. I think he's a really nice guy, and I enjoy his self-deprecating, one liner humor. When he does that 'whoa is me' stuff, I think it makes the audience care for him too. I wish him all the best.
I'll probably end up voting for Jay......or John, or Alonzo, or Gary. I'm not really sure yet, but it won't be Tammy!
