"What about Lisa"

Posted by Darylg on 08-27-03 at 03:44 PM
For someone who is looking for that special someone, she seems to be connecting with everyone (Dom, Hank, Renda, and Evan). How serious can she be about any one of these guys when she treats each of them as if they were the only person in the world for her. It does not make sense.

Now, that's why I have a hard time believing in these shows and just watch for the entertainment. However, I am a hopeless romantic so if, in the end, a good relationship develops between two people, I'm happy. If not, it was fun bashing them

I think she has to make a conscious effort to at least make it seem as though she is making a connection with everyone, to make them each feel special (it's part of the game)...but she seems to mainly be connecting with Evan and Hank (if the others can't see that, they must be blind...I'd love to be able to read Joe's and Renda's thoughts after seeing how hot and heavy she is with both Hank and Evan). If she has a preference between the two, it's really hard to read. She seems to prefer Evan when she's with Evan, and Hank when she's with Hank. She has only had five dates with each guy though, which is easily enough to be enamored with someone, but she may not be sure yet which is the guy she really wants.

It hasn't been that long. It is totally possible to have a connection with multiple people at the same time. In my more early carefree dating years, I've dated multiple people at the same time and felt connections wich each one of them. Yeah, in time, one of them will win out and you'll find yourself wanting to be with that person the most, but like someone said, Lisa hasn't been on that many dates yet.

I believe you can even fall in love with more than one person at the same time. It happens all the time. Husband caught between wife and mistress, people who want to allow polygamy, a lot of Jerry Springer episodes, etc.

Right now, it's *not* serious though. She's still in the chemistry phase. If she were telling every single guy "I love you" after every date, then I'd be concerned.

I agree, it really is difficult for me to understand how someone can date multiple people and have feelings for everyone at the same time...and I do believe that Lisa's connection is the strongest with Evan and Hank...she seems very attracted to both of these hunks and vice versa! She's lucky to have such great guys after her!

I agree that Lisa is a fortunate girl to be in such a predicament...but the guys are in a great spot as well...LOOK AT LISA.. she is a living doll. truly a class act..beauty...grace..charm..and what a great girl..I have rarely seen someone come across the tube so genuinely "nice". She is a winner in absolutely every sense of the word. She looks way beyond the surface ....( I mean look at some of these guys) and gives the benefit of the doubt before giving them the boot...She deserves a great guy...and I hope she gets the best one...(EVAN)

So Gopher, why is such a beautiful, wonderful girl without a man and on a reality show to find her "man"?

She is beautiful, very kind, nice, but BORING.

She's never told any of her dates about what she likes, and relies upon her not-so-nice friends to whittle down the potentials. I've watched the show from the beginning (although I'm almost embarrassed to admit it), and the only thing I'm sure she wants is a M.R.S. and children. She has absolutely no personality on her own.

In total agreement, we really don't know anything about Lisa. "Classy" isn't exactly a word I'd use to describe a woman who goes on national TV to find a husband.

I'd like to see Lisa plan the dates one night to do what she wants to do. Do we even know what that is? Where would she take the guys on a date if it was her choice? Does she prefer the beach, the mountains, charity balls, the opera, heavy metal? It was mentioned on this last ep by those close to her that they could not see her living in the country. But Hank wants to do that. She wants to get married and have children right away and stay home to raise them. But does that mean in a penthouse or the suburbs? There is so much more they should be deciding before any of them get married. And they call Dom too immature and not ready. But isn't letting a TV show pick your mate in a few weeks rather naive too?

"How serious can she be about any one of these guys when she treats each of them as if they were the only person in the world for her?"

Yeah, that's really starting to bug me too. Originally, I chalked it up to her following the show producers' advice on 'playing it straight' (or something) for each date. Now I think she is just totally lacking in relationship sense, and maybe common sense.

She has declared Robert creepy many times, doesn't want him to win even though she now "gets" him, so she lets him give her a near-naked massage? Knowing that this would be broadcast on network TV? This girl is seriously clueless. I still like her, but she may need to go through life wearing one of her show earpieces so Kimberly can keep telling her what is stupid and what is not, year after year...

Can't agree more, would she even be on this show if it weren't for the million dollars? I think not, she can say she's here to meet Mr. Right but don't let her fool you. It's all about the money!
