Would you allow a group of unknown people decide who you are going to spend the rest of your life with? For Lisa, this must be really scary.I am not sure that i would do it...Million dollars or not.
I wouldn't do it....she's a braver woman than I!She does still have the option to say no and go her own way, just without the money, and I don't get the impression that she would marry someone if she didn't think it would work.
My impression is that if she finds a husband great, bonus, but the real reason for doing the show is the attention she is getting on TV. My guess is that she wants to be an actress and what better way than to agree to be on tv. And, I can't believe that if she said no, that she would walk away with nothing--well over and above the vacation that she has had while being on the show, all the clothes, etc. This girl is not stupid, she is going to make the most of this situation to better herself. If she was honestly looking for love, kids and the whole nine yards, she would be making her own decisions in private.
Simon chose her because she has no show biz aspirations...he said so.
Well if HE said so....guess there's nothing more to discuss about that issue.
Why would he lie about why he chose her? He'd have nothing to gain from it....she seems sincere, don't know why people want to make assumptions about her and then judge her by those very assumptions.
I agree HappyDayz, I think Lisa's intentions are sincere. I think she really wants to find a husband! Of course I am sure she enjoys all the attention she gets on TV, but who wouldn't!
That is why she was able to narrow the field down to ten by herself first. That way she was able to take ten guys to the finals who she feels a "connection" with. No matter who America picks she feels there is some potential for marriage.Of course, I still haven't figured out why a couple of the guys are there at all and wonder what she would do if America disliked her and stuck her with Scott!!
Weird, huh? How out of all those guys both Scott and Robert were in her top ten.
America could not clearly pick a president in 2000(remember "pregnant chads?"), so why would a woman allow this country to pick her husband? Lisa is lovely but she must have issues....
Why not? Maybe I don't understand the rules, but seems to me you could marry someone, collect the million, and if you didn't like each other, go your seperate ways. Hook back up 366 days later and get divorced. Any harm in that?

Well she's not locked into it. And she only has to stay married for a year for a million dollars. And she gets to do a nationwide search for the show. Why not?Just make sure you don't bring any strange people who tries to undo your top into the Final 10 and you'll be fine.
