"SurvivorBlows, It's Time to Vote! - Episode Five, Joe Millionaire"
Posted by PepeLePew13 on 02-03-03 at 06:18 AM
Tonight, one unlucky (lucky?) gal gets voted out of the fifth episode of "Joe Millionaire." Tell us who you think it will be?IN YOUR POST:
First, delete the "SurvivorBlows, It's Time to Vote!" in the Subject line.
Then replace it with the name of the girl you think will NOT get the gem necklace tonight.
The three girls remaining at the start of tonight's show:
Melissa - the one with the smile
Sarah - the one with the in-the-forest sound effects
Zora - the one with the Cinderella fairy tale
In your message box, feel free to offer up any speculation, reasonings or comments.
Rules:
1) Please keep it neat -- delete the subject line and only put in the name of the girl you think will get booted.
2) Reply ONLY to this post! Curves on women are good. Curves on vote threads are bad.
3) THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD! DO NOT TREAT IT AS SUCH! There are plenty of places on this board to debate the merits of other people's arguments. Let's keep it out of here, please.
4) Woo hoo... FesterFan totally nailed Episode 4 with his summary -- Don't forget to give him some applause here if you haven't already done so in response to his summary.
5) Have fun!

Hmm, a tough choice this week. The producers and spoiler info aside, Evan wants to get Zora to open up a bit more. He's clearly intrigued by her, plus she seems to be the one that wouldn't be worrying about the money (good acting on her part
), so I will eliminate her-- er, poor choice of words, I should say "keep her around".
Melissa has, of late, gotten the worst of it when it comes to dates with Evan. She tries to keep her chin up and her sense of humor about things. But I can sense an edge of impatience about her. I also think she really "digs" Evan (pun fully intended
) and would probably be the one IRL that would be happiest with Evan.
Sarah and Evan obviously "had a connection." They shared a subtitled "intimate moment" and ... oh, wait, this isn't Temptation Island... anyway, Sarah seems to be a favorite of Evan... maybe he has a foot fetish
.
Actually, I suspect that if Evan does sleep with Sara, she'll be the one to go. But if he doesn't, then Melissa would be the one to go.
Gut is telling me Melissa, so I guess I'll go with that.

I think he'll figure her out... hope their make out session doesn't convince him to keep her.

I picked Sarah to go last week, but after that noisy session in the woods, I think he ditches Melissa with the smile. Who knows. I am just looking forward to how ridiculous they make this show tonight!

I saw the pictures in the Globe of Zora in a wedding dress, and while they could have been doctored, or part of some silly dress-up game that Fox made all three of the remaining girls play, I'll stick to the notion that she is the last woman standing. It's really a coin toss between the other two for me right now, but I think he clicked better with Melissa at the start and will stick with her one more time. After all, he's already had the best Sarah has to offer.

Melissa and Sarah were edited to show their gossip and complaint session, so I think one of them will go. I'm guessing Evan will keep Sarah around awhile longer in the hope for a repeat of last week's date. Although I think intellectually Melissa and Evan are made for each other (I am a mercenary).

The Dictionary definition of mercenary: Motivated solely by a desire for monetary or material gain. Can you say Freudian slip?

LAST EDITED ON 02-03-03 AT 10:12 AM (EST)Sorry I had a premature post on that one? Not sure why it happened, as I did not hit return?
Oh well
Melissa is my choice for tonight. I think she has changed Evans opinion of her. But who knows anymore, I personally only think Zora will make it for sure, but again, who knows.

Slam, Bam, Thank You Ma'am, and that's probably what he'll say to Sarah when he boots her.Just going with all the editing to Zora winning it all.

Melissa won't be smiling tonight. She has never been in serious contention for Domestic Goddess of the Year, which we all know Joe needs since he can't afford to eat at fancy restaurants (yeah, right). It's time for this mercenary to hunt other prey.

or Sarah. Really, I see little difference between these 2 girls. They both come off as spoiled princesses (or wicked step-sisters).I believe that Zora wins, so it has to be one of these girls. I think Evan keeps Sarah since she seems the most willing to please him physically, all the while he knows she is not the kind of girl you bring home to momma!

The only boot that would surprise me would be Zora - I think she is the last girl left.Melissa's comments at dinner last week really showed her true colours - she is not willing to pull her weight. He cooked the meal, and she couldn't at least show willingness to do the dishes? Who can't wash dishes? Sure, if they really had all the money he's supposed to have, she wouldn't have to do any chores, but there are other areas in life where no one else can do the thinking for you. She's too much of a ditz, even for Evan.
Plus, it helps to know how things are done, so as to avoid getting ripped off by others. Just cuz you have the money doesn't mean you have to stand there flushing it down the toilet.

Tough choice, but I think we're finally going to find out what Melissa can do other than look cute.Evan's still trying to figure out Zora, so she's PROBABLY safe.
That leaves Sarah. So close and so far.

It's really a toss up between Melissa and Sarah. At this point I think Melissa will have to up the ante
if she wants to stay.

Watching the show last week, I thought Melissa M. was a goner following their "date." Until Mojo brought out the scrapbook.

I would really rather see Sarah out, but Sarah has two things that Melissa hasn't got yet -- the two stop signs on her chest and her special-effect sounds in the forest helping seal the deal, so to speak.Melissa hasn't had good dates, either, so that's a mark against her.

Who am I to break the trend? I think after last week's editing with Zora, she's safe one more time. And Sarah, well, I think he'll probably want to see if he can get any further. Although with the previews of Melissa saying "I'll make this easier", while she's adjusting her skirt, it should be a very interesting epidode.
"Zora"
Posted by Survivorchick on 02-03-03 at 04:02 PM
I was planning to vote for Melissa but then I saw that pretty much everyone is voting for Melissa and that's not fun. So I figure if Zora's leaving, SOMEONE needs to get credit for calling it, right?! But honestly, I hope that I'm wrong.

She's shown Evan that she's in it for the money with the way she acted about cooking and dishes, etc. I think he'll realize what a princess hse is and cut her loose.I gave Fester kudos on his summary thread, but it was so wonderful that he deserves to hear it again. WooHoo Fester!!!

This week it's Melissa's turn to oh, ah, sigh, <gulp>. Evan's gotta score with more than one of the contenders before he settles down with Cinderella Zora! Thanks to sorgee for sending me a tape of last weeks episode, which I missed taping! You're my hero today, sorgee! (Just finished watching it.)
