"Did Fox give away the winner (Joe $$$)???"

Posted by sleeeve on 02-12-03 at 02:19 AM
In the preview for next week's Joe Millionaire, I think they gave away the winner in the editing... if I'm not mistaken, the ladies clearly entered (with Paul) from opposite sides of the grand salon at the end of the episode. Hence, the lady on Evan's right (the screen's left) should be the winner (since I think that was the way he was facing when he said "I've chosen you.")

...but some vidcaps of those scenes would really help!

Does anyone have it recorded so that we can verify this??? I didn't record it, and unfortunately, neither did Webby (I begged him for vidcaps, lol)

A little help would be great (even if you can just watch your tape and let me know if I'm right!)

I don't have the tape, but I think I know what you are talking about. Didn't Zora come in and sit on the couch and Sarah come in and sit on the green chair? Then Evan sits on the couch to tell the person that they have won. Is that what you mean?

Yeah... something like that... I don't have the tape, and I wasn't exactly taking notes because I figured that there was no way that Fox would let their biggest secret of the season slip out. Then after I saw the previews, I was trying to search my memory to see if I could piece together the chain of events, but I realized that I needed either vidcaps or the video itself.

*here's hoping that someone has it*

I've just looked at the ending a couple of times and I could not see at all where either girl sat down. Both girls entered at opposite entrances of the salon with Paul, yes, but it did not show where they went to sit down.

Evan was looking to his LEFT when he was talking and making his confession spiel to announce who he chose and hoping that she would come that evening to give her answer.

The tape is inconclusive to me as to where the girls are. Now, I'm going to have to watch it all over again just to make sure I haven't been dipping into the sauce one too many times!

**Evan was looking to his LEFT when he was talking and making his confession spiel to announce who he chose and hoping that she would come that evening to give her answer.**

This is providing they didn't do the old switcharoo trick like CBS is famous for.

I must respectfully point out that we cannot extrapolate who Evan is talking to just from showing which side of the room the girls enter. What with the crazy editing going on in this show, this could've been spliced together from quite a few scenes. I wouldn't even be surprised if they made several different entrances for the camera.

The feeling I got from Evan's "I've chosen you" is that he's talking to the girl of his choice AFTER making it, and is telling her about his secret (the $19K secret).

I must respectfully point out that we cannot extrapolate who Evan is talking to . . . The feeling I got from Evan's "I've chosen you" is that he's talking to . . .

A MIRROR! This boy's in it for himself.

You're exactly correct, sir. At the end of the episode, Zora was seen walking into the salon alone without Paul at her side. In the preview for the next show that came up after the commercial break, Zora entered the salon with Paul right beside her. She was wearing the same clothes.
