LAST EDITED ON 11-24-03 AT 10:19 PM (EST)I thought it was pretty "cheesey" to play such a great aria as Puccini's "Nessun Dorma" from Turandot when she came out of the ranch house to greet David, but then I looked up the melody and it sort-of does fit.
No one sleeps!... No one sleeps!...
Nor do you, o princess
in your cold room
Look the stars that tremble
with love and hope!
But my mystery
it is locked in me,
my name no one will know!
No, no, only on your mouth I will reveal it,
when dawn's light will shine!
My kiss will break the silence
and make you mine!
My first thought for each of these girls from the very first show was "run away!!!" and this became more strongly felt as the numbers kept getting closer to the end. I thought that these girls would be much more jaded about the whole situation but I came to realize that this wasn't a game to them - well to Cat and Linda anyway. I thought that for Cat it really became a cruel joke - but it would have been worse on Linda if he had chosen Cat. Hopefully David and Linda will find "true love" together - good luck to them.
