"Rob's return"

Posted by shortcake15 on 08-02-03 at 04:10 PM
Rob just did an interview with TVGuide.com. He said NBC told him they'd give him a second chance with Erin. He took them up on it 'Cause I really like her, you know.' Sounds interesting, but they definitely said he could never see her again....

The whole drama is about the second chance for both Rob & Erin.

I have a strange feeling that NBC is messing up with Erin.
Erin is not going to win the money that easy.

If Rob is really coming back for the hope of another chance with Erin...he's even more stupid than all the papers rightly made him look while the show was on air. Now, since the two shows were taped back to back...maybe..just Maybe...Erin hadn't learned what a wonderful person he really was before they brought him back for FLOM2.

Now, as far as NBC messing with Erin's chance to get the money. I doubt they could care less if she won the money or not. It's a drop in the bucket. This is about drama and ratings and Rob comming back will bring the ratings. An interesting twist though could be that they're trying to make Erin seem like less the fame/money-hungry b*tch she is by having her choose Rob over the money this time. Still..I wouldn't count on it...usually once rejected...you stay rejected.

She'd probably never expect a twist upon a twist. In other words, she'd be expecting NBC to offer her the money regardless of what happens, but depending on who she picks, she may be left with no money and no man (no man because it most assuredly will not last).

LAST EDITED ON 08-04-03 AT 06:56 PM (EST)

You know what I think,

The producers would never have expected that Rob would stupidly choose Erin and she ditches him in LOM1. The way Rob listerns to Erin painfully might have changed the producers mind to give him a chance and get his record straight.

This guy Rob plays a saddiest role to get his record straight with Erin. He acts like he still likes her blah blah blah and actulally making her to feel very guilty for what she have done it to him at LOM1

She's definitely treating Rob like Sh*t! She doesn't even want to be near him, and the only reason he's still there is because she had already decided to get rid of Eric. The cork off the champagne bottle was a fun thing, but to Erin, you'd think he spit in her face by the look on her face. Her heart is as black as her checkbook, and I have a hard time believing that Rob believes there's a chance with her. She kept asking Rob what his intentions were when he had clearly stated them to her about 2-3 times before. He got this look on his face like, "I told you, don't you hear me?" I feel sorry for him. He's letting Nash's brand of sodomy get the best of him.

It's not like Rob's anything special. The guy is a bonafide loser at best. He has a lot in common with Erin. Both are sad losers who deserve to be with each other.

For all we know, he could be a prince among thieves.... hey, a premise for a new show!

Wouldn't it be funny if that dumb slut picked Rob and NBC in turn told her that she gets nothing because when she decided to take the money the first time around, the conditions were that she could not see Rob again and now she is so she forfeits the money she won and the possibility of winning more!

I have only watched the show twice, never saw the first one. This guy is a HUNK, seems super sincere and nice, too! What's wrong with her? She chose MONEY over this man? Damn she is crazy.....will she do it TWICE?

<--has a hard time understanding Erin when she tilts her head to the side and starts that squeaky sounding baby talk she thinks is cute.

I think he must have had some time with the Queer Eye guys because he was definitely more desirable last night then throughout the entire first series.

I agree -- the 3-4 weeks off between the filming of FLOM1 and FLOM2 did Rob a world of good.

Rob's getting a classic reality TV rehab... only his rehab didn't happen until the next series of the show.

You can't help but think his editing in FLOM1 (which probably occurred after the filming of FLOM2) was impacted by the producer's knowledge that his "story arc" was going to extend into FLOM2.

Rob? Hot? I think you may have mistaken Eric for him if that's the case!

Moonbaby, you might think he's a "hunk", but a reading of this area of the board will give you some insight into the true nature of Rob, and why we know him to be the LOSER that he is.

It's truly a sad state of affairs when someone like Rob can come in and immediately be seen as the most mature or dignified of the group. I dont know if it was the lighting or the fact that they allowed him to stand out from the others in his White jacket but he did seem to have a different air about him at first.

Then he opened his mouth..enuff said.

Compared to the remaining three guys, Rob looked like a goof! A fish out of water! A moron! He just lacked the class and overall good looks to compete with Wade, Chad, and especially Eric.

Thanks for cluing me in, Dawg. I just found the disturbing news about Rob a page or so back. I got eyeball cooties reading it!

Go to page 2 of this board and look for Rob's checkered past thread. Also look here:

I don't think there's anything wrong with him either, but quite a few posters think he's beyond repair. He has done a few things in the past that were bad choices/made him look foolish, and some people can never look past that. I guess they've never made mistakes in their entire lives. They still seem a bit sequestered, so once Rob and the others see FLOM1 and FLOM2 in its entirety, a lot of hearts will be mended. Erin may need to wear blue contacts and blonde hair to get on with her life.

He has done a few things in the past that were bad choices/made him look foolish, and some people can never look past that. I guess they've never made mistakes in their entire lives.

Look, Rob acted like a drunken lout in FLOM1. This was an indicator of his base character, his morals (or lack of them). Then we find out about his military past, and more accurate information on his law "career".

It's not that he made "a few" mistakes, but repeatedly does things that show his true character... a drunken lout and an idiot DAW. It's not that we "can never look past that", but we're just looking at what Rob has shown us. Why SHOULD we look past it when Rob repeatedly shows us what his real, loutish character is about?

Also, sure I've made mistakes, but I haven't done anything like what Rob has done, and I've also not gone on a RealityTV show and made a fool of myself, which invites further attention on my private life. Rob made the choices he made; now he has to live with the consequences of his actions.

I'm just saying I'm somewhere in the middle. A lot of things don't make sense, and it would take his complete candor for me to starting going ya or nay.

Charlotte Church could go on one of these shows, and Nash would make her look like an idiot/slut.

But, we run the risk of having the same argument all over again, so I'll just stay with that.

I was so excited to hear that Rob had returned. It's honestly the only reason that I have tuned back in.
The only thing I'm praying for is that next week that preview we got of Rob looking shocked has something to do with PAIGE returning.
Wouldn't that take the cake. The girl Rob should have picked.
You'd think his mother would have told him to steer clear of pretty gold diggers.....ERIN!
Whoever said Rob is hot. What an understatement.
