First time poster, here any maybe I'm a sucker, but how could you not like Rob? Aren't people allowed to make a mistake or two in life without a smear campaign ensuing?? Hasn't anyone out there attended university or college where in a drunken stupor you did something you later regretted? I think Rob is gorgeous. I do wish he had followed his heart though...Anyone think he and Paige are dating now, behind the scenes??
First of all, I can "not like Rob" based on what The Smoking Gun had on him: the incident that ruined his short-lived military career. But then, on the show, Rob said he didn't regret the things he's done in the past... oh, really Rob? No regrets about that?As to the original thread, I think Rob did get some green dollar bills behind the scenes, and he was coached (if not outright TOLD) to choose Erin.

That is what my husband said! He thought they must have paid Rob off to pick Erin, knowing that Erin would take the money and they could then do the spin where Erin gives up her money for the chance at 2 million. It looked to both of us like he liked Paige a lot more than Erin.

First of all, I respect everyone's opinion, BUT, I despised Rob and Paige.He looked like a moron from day one and after learning all we did about him, he was NO catch.
As for Paige, she came across, at least to this viewer, as nothing more than a little Lolita. AND, now that we know stuff about her too, she was NO catch either.
Erin was my favorite from the beginning and the finale of the show was fabulous. DRAMA and nice beginning to the new show, which looks so much more promising.
Erin has the personality and the looks to pull the second show off. And, of course, I won't complain that the new show will now be about a bunch of guys. Hopefully scantily clad. WOO-HOO !!!!!
As for everyone complaining about feeling robbed, come on you peeps, this is a TV show, it is now a rule that it should all be bogus. The producers will do anything for a great, dramatic ending. I have to agree with Dawg (**shivers**) and his conspiracy theories

Thank goodness you posted. I was beginning to think I was the only one who didn't like Paige.
I didn't like Paige either. And I noticed that Rob couldn't look Paige in the eye when he was talking to her about his decision. I really don't think he was that attracted to her. He had been using her. He was looking over her shoulder and over her head when speaking to her. He looked right in Erin's eyes. I think he was attracted to Erin, but she was out of his league.
Well, let's be fair. It's hard to tell someone you're about to flat out reject them, and humiliate them, before an alleged audience of 22 million national viewers (so say their advertising).So I'm not surprised Rob had trouble looking Paige in the eye. And she knew it was coming, too, because he wouldn't look at her, and kept rambling on and on.
I do think he liked her, but in an earlier episode he said she was too young for him. And she got very upset about that. She should've realized it, though, and realized that the age gap would always be a huge block. Rob saw that obstacle, Paige blinded herself to it.

Why "poor Paige"? Paige knew exactly what she was doing. She was too young for Rob. Erin was more mature and Rob has a sexual fasination with Erin. I really believe Rob was sincere. Erin made some moods also on Rob. She responded to him in a big way with kissing him. She has the money in back of her mind. Who wouldn't?
I think Erin would hold the interest of the next show. Good mood by the producers.
This was the only show I watched of the season and if Rob was as much of a dud through the whole show as he was this one who the hell would want him?When he had Paige up there he kept talking about the first time they were there and then remember when we did this and remember when we did that and remember when you said this and I said that, come freaking on and get it out of your mouth, I was literally being lulled to sleep. What a boring guy he would have been.
Anyway just wanted to throw my 2 cents in about what a dud Rob was IMO!
There was one episode where one of the girls was talking about choosing either the money or Rob, and this was a couple of weeks before the host announced to the girls that it was either Rob or the money and not both, so how did she know? I think it was Erin (her tongue had slipped once before with Rob). Anybody else notice that?
