"Fear Itself"

Any horror buffs out there catching the new Thursday night series? So far its been pretty good. It has a Night Gallery/Twilight Zone kinda flavor to it but with some extra gore and creepiness. (No...not Al Gore silly )

Fooner? Batts? Any takers? Undertakers?

So far it seems pretty good, but haven't watched all of them on the DVR, yet.

I am a total Horror buff, but sadly the only one in the house. For some reason this was never set on the DVR, and I just gave up being able to watch.

Warcrack, it's not for kids.

We've been watching. My favorite one so far was the one about the two guys switching bodies. I really liked the one with Jesse Plemons, "Sacrifice". Last week's was okay but I had it figured out pretty early on but am still confused about something. The Eric Roberts one was a little meh.

I watched all the episodes online this past weekend. I really liked most of them, with the exception of the wedding one, which I thought didn't really make much sense. I agree with Glow that the switching bodies one was the best so far.

I do hope we get more episodes that are scary while actually being realistic though. I don't believe in vampires or ghosts or souls switching bodies, so while those were good, I had higher hopes for the wedding episode. I think it's more fun to be scared by stuff that isn't paranormal, ya know?

Found it..
It's described as: "A young woman struggles to survive in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies".
Watching this Thursday..
I just love these mensa shows!

What is "horror"? YES! It's watching this show!
Opening with incessant yammering by some Skinny Dippy Thingy (SDT) saying: "There's blood everywhere! ..whut?
NEXT: "Headbanger Lady" is doing her thing on SDT's door. Great. How can she do this? Shocking!
I'll start doing it myself, soon.
NOW there are incomprehensible flashbacks, strobe light effects, and stop-film action sequences reminding me of Gumby. GUMBY was really creepy.
Something else was happening with an elevator, another SDT that fell into the elevator, and flesh eating zombies. What tripe! Sparky electric cables, alleys with fire marshal approved flaming oil drums and.. MORE flesh eating zombies! More tripe!
These people sure crack their necks alot.
I got nothin. Including a plot. Or sense.
But I DO have neck pain. Thanks, zombie ridden waste of magnetic tape. BLEH.

What Simple Simon wrote this last one? Heck, I could do better with a bottle of Tequila, listening to The Eagles over and over again.

No one else seems to be able to tolerate the sheer genius of these life-changing novelettes.
eta: next: " A rancher gets lost in the woods and becomes posessed by an ancient evil spirit."
No robots, no Chupacabras, not even the slightest mention of a Gorn. *sigh*

I wonder if the evil spirit came from Stepford?

Not quite - I just keep forgetting to set the DVR. I have watched two episodes - the one where the voodoo guy is brought in to the police station and mayhem ensues; and the one where the girl wakes up in a post-apocolyptic world.

It's not terrible, though I suspect it won't be winning any awards any time soon.

my first one was the "serial killer" episode and i liked it cause it scared me.

then i just watched the "association" one and darn if they didnt' rip that off from an x-files script.

i plan to give it more chances cause i do like real tv every once in awhile.

If I was artsy-fartsy and such I'd make you a siggie that had a face picture of Molly Ringwald from her days on Facts of Life on an Old-time tv screen.

I just watched the one where the rancher comes back after being lost in the mountains and I really liked it! I'll definitely stay tuned after that one.

Missed it!

No, you didn't. Really, you didn't miss anything. Sorry bullzy, but that one with the rancher was the worst one yet. I was actually laughing at how ridiculous it was. I didn't even bother to watch the last few minutes, it was so horrible. I think I'm done with this show. Such a great concept, such terrible execution.
