Because of the CBS Evening News' lousy ratings, vice ABC and NBC. But at least she still gets way more viewers than Bill O'Reilly, Larry King (for whom she's rumored to be a possible replacement), Hannity and Colmes, Keith Olbermann, etc.

Typical. The handwriting was on the wall the minute she signed. I guess she thought it would go differently for her than it did for the other women the networks tried out in the past.

I've seen a few of her broadcasts. KC is not great, but not horrible either. Female newsanchors tend to be judged more harshly than their male counterparts.

I think she was asked to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic. But then again, I'm not impressed with any of the PM network news shows.Still, I think she looks a little out of her element.
