We still don't know if Showtime will pick it up, but if not, the last four episodes of the critically acclaimed Arrested Development is tonight, at 8 PM (2/10) EST. Just a heads up for any AD fans here.

Thanks, I just noticed that when I checked the schedule. Have to set my DVR. So sad this show is done. I hadn't heard anything about what's up with Showtime. If Showtime doesn't pick up AD, I can finally cancel my subscription since I don't really watch anything else on it.

Absolutely wonderful. Would be a fitting ending if those are indeed the final four episodes, yet leaves quite a few doors open in case the show gets picked up by another network.

I just have to wonder what it would have looked like over 22 instead of 13, but that's just a wonder. As you said, fitting enough to be a series finale but left enough holes to re-open it if Showtime/ABC get it (I have to wonder if they had some conflict, or even deal, with CBS that we don't know about with the CBS references).

Speaking of references, I always love it when Ron Howard gets into the references as a character. We had the Andy Griffith references in a prior episode, as well as Ron's breakdown of good narration/poor narration. There were two references on Friday that cracked me up. First, his comment on why no celebrities showed up at Maeby's birthday party ("Some of us didn't want to travel to Orange County") and then his appearance at the end.

And he was in Maeby's address book to round out the trilogy.

The Skating With Celebrities double reference was a nice jab, another Funke signing away the family rights for a movie/tv show to maintain a fleeting career. George Bush doesn't care about Black Puppets.

It ain't easy being white...it ain't easy being brown.

Ridiculous how many references they jammed in.

Any word yet on another network picking it up?

I just discovered AD this season, and am now officially heartbroken.

The most recent news I heard is

A) One website said a deal had been reached with Showtime
B) Kristin (from E!), a more reputable source, says the odds are getting better and it's about 50/50 right now.

One of my favorite sites put up a list of their Top 25 AD moments (the severe lack of Charlie Brown references makes me sad), but on the whole, the list is nice.

Their Futurama list is good too, although their #1 moment makes me cry way too much for a comedic cartoon...
