I love this show. Hugh is great. It is hard to believe that he is from England...All of my friends watch and tape this for those who have to work..we are all medical people and adore him, his bedside manner, how he treats everyone and the fact that he is addicted to Vicodan....our hero.

I really like this show as well. It is very wierd to watch interviews with him because he talks in his regular accent and it just seems so wrong.

I was a fan of Hugh Laurie's for years and didn't even realize it was him when I saw House ads (don't actually watch show).

Laurie is a HUGE COMEDIAN in the UK. He is often paired with pal Stephen Fry ("Jeeves and Wooster"). He's on Blackadder a lot.

I would love to know how he even landed this part, although apparently he's terrific; again, you just don't think of this guy in terms of drama. American medical drama.

...I also first saw Hugh Laurie as Bertie Wooster years ago. Talk about two roles as different as possible -- airhead, amiable, bumbling Bertie and brilliant, prickly, arrogant House.

I missed the first number of episodes and too bad because once I started watching, I was hooked. What a great show! Nice to find something to watch again. Hugh is awesome.

and I'm mentioning it because it is worth watching. You quickly forget that he played Stuart Little's father-Hugh Laurie is excellent in this show!

Um...maybe you didn't know he played Stuart Little's father, lol.

I recently started watching it too, and am really liking it.

I caught one episode the first season and it didn't do much for me so I didn't watch again til recently, and now I get the appeal. He's terrific and the show is great!

I missed a critical scene (it's on during my kids' bedtime, so I usually record it, rather than trying to catch various bits between brushing teeth and tucking in), and it made no sense what so ever. I rewatched it later and, wow.

Oh my! Yes it was definitely an episode were you couldn't miss a second. Miss one scene and the whole finale didn't make sense.

Holy Crap! And now after reading what (crap can't remember who, bad me) talked about dream interpertation on OT, this whole episode takes on even more meaning.

Stacey and House were an item, ya know... for some reason I'm blanking on what happened exactly to his leg.
