I noticed on Weltek's thread that a couple of people put it on their "keeper" list. I must like it because it is more like a soap opera with aliens thrown in. Tonight's episode was really good, just can't wait for the Sheriff to get 'outed'.

This is the only network (non-History Channel, non-Discovery Channel) program DH will watch. Now that we have DVR I record it every week for him and he watches it on Sunday mornings with his coffee.

I'm dying to find out what happened to these folks. Were their bodies replaced ala 'Body Snatchers'? Did they become fishies in some extreme act of evolution (Doctor Mom in the bathtub)? Giant baptism and religious conversion? And yea, the Sheriff is creepy.

This is not the type of show I would normally watch, but I'm really getting into it.

Count me in on the group that likes this show. I absolutely HATE the sheriff and can't wait till he gets his (of course he probably won't for a very long time).

I think they are inhabiting the body rather than replacing it, but it is causing some changes to the original body. Rose's comment that her Mom didn't smell the same and her reluctance to think it was her Mother. Interesting that Jesse didn't pick up on that, but was really angry over things about the divorce. The Sheriff has been in place as a human longer than the others, and he apparently hasn't changed so much that he can't still pass.
I am so glad I am not the only one on the boards keeping up with this show!

So much for thinking the aliens just burrow into the host body! They replace it with a duplicate body. Ewww.

Shame to just throw the old body into the swamp like that. Don't you think?
