"Arrested Development, Season 3"
Posted by LozengeofLove on 09-15-05 at 05:09 PM
The third season of Arrested Development starts Monday, September 19 at 8/7c, and it looks to be a promising one! For anyone who's never seen the show, now is the perfect time to start. From Entertainment Weekly: At the start of the third season, Lucille dates other men while her husband is under house arrest; Lindsay and Tobias get more out of their marriage by sleeping around; and Buster fakes a persistant vegetative state to continue his "affair" with a nurse...Michael gets some lovin' from guest star Charlize Theron, as a fetching Brit...The inquest into the Bluths' shady dealings goes on, thanks to Tobias, aka the Mole. Of course, everyone will know he's a mole.
For anyone who's interested, the second season DVD will be released on October 11.

Unfortunately Henry Winkler is leaving
. He was great! But I love that they cast Scott Baio to replace him!

Look at me I got a Sweet Summer Syren Siggie!

Can't blame Henry for wanting to have his own show (Out Of Practice) instead of a few guest appearances on another. But I'll miss him.Love how we've got Chachi now. Wonder who else from the ol' Happy Days crew we'll see show up in guest spots?

Finally I can get back into this show! I've only seen it a few times, mostly first season. Jason Bateman is a cutieface and the cast is perfection. Can't wait!

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands...*clap clap*
This morning, I told my husband that I slept in the car so that my snoring wouldn't bother him, but that I played a tape recording of my snoring so he wouldn't know I was gone.
And I am really, really going to miss Henry Winkler, but I love the great scenes they gave him before he left. $50 making out? ROFL.

"How am I supposed to find someone willing to go into that musty old claptrap?"and
Michael: "I almost had Pop Pop in Reno"
G. Michael: "Me too"
were my two favorite lines from last night. As usual, this show is right on target.

I've made a huge, tiny mistake

The "claptrap" line was my favorite, too. I laugh just thinking about some of the lines from this show. I don't know how they get away with these lines but if the censor is asleep on the job, I'm very, very grateful.(Maybe he figures that anything connected with Opie has to be innocent?)

Just popping in to say hi LOL! I just saw your hello from ages ago on the Prison Break forum. Right back at ya.I wish I had a copy of the AD season premiere to watch again. I don't think there's any way I caught everything--the episode was jam packed with witticisms. Hope the show goes a full 22 episodes this year.

Hey LoL! Those lines were great. I love this show. How about Gob being Steve Holt's dad? And then Maeby making out with yet another cousin. *snort*

ARGH! I missed it! Was it as good as last season's premiere? I think that may've been the funniest single episode of a sitcom I've ever seen.

"We can't discuss nonsense with Bob Loblaw" ? <----- That was pretty much the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Can't wait for next week.
The hilariousness and hilarity of this show does not disappoint.

I do love this show so much. I was glad they included the Previously on... segment to catch up new viewers (and they were still able to throw in some scenes that haven't really occured on the show before!)Of course I loved the four way chicken dance, and the Free Chicken sign. "I suppose I'm buy-curious" and "Nobody was making fun of Andy Griffith. I can't emphasize that enough" were the best lines last night.
Let's hope the ratings improved this week!

I can't wait to meet Bob Loblaw

I could not stop laughing at that line, Engl. Even like 3 hours after the show was over, I'd think to myself "Bob Loblaw" and I would just start cracking up.Best.Name.Ever.

The various chicken dances were priceless! I love this show!

OMG me too! And kudos to Scott Baio -- he pulled that off so well! I can't even say Bob Loblaw with a straight face! The commercial he did for the firm was priceless.

The company I work for got access to some exclusive pics of celebs including cast members of Arrested Development (a great show I might add) at an event. Wanna see 'em?http://msltechdev.com/carpetflick/index.html
I'm not sure who all of these people are but I do recognize many of them. What it was, Swiffer CarpetFlick threw a party for FOX's fall lineup, and celebs from some of the shows, like House and Malcolm in the Middle, attended a Casino Night at the Los Angeles Cabana Club. They gambled, partied and raised money for Habitat for Humanity, autism research and a lot of other causes.
Just thought I'd share!

Please tell me I wasn't the only one completely howling for an hour last night. (Given the show's ratings, I do worry about that sometimes.)When I almost snorted beverage out of my nose at the President's Council on Fitness comment, I knew I was going to be one happy AD fan. Too many great lines to pull them all out, plus the hilarious visual jokes when Michael would throw things to/at George Michael or Tobias. The in-jokes were cool too, like Charlize Theron's criticism of non-British actors playing British roles - gee, she's South African, and her uncle was played by a Canadian.
But folks, please be nice to the mods and don't try to get out of a guidelines violation by claiming you were referring to the British definition.

I thought the 1st episode was much funnier than the 2nd, but they were both great anyway. I've got to start taping these, there are just too many funny lines to remember!

The boneheaded idiots at Fox have all but canceled AD. First, they decided not to air the planned episodes during November sweeps, and now they've cut the episode order from 22 to 13. TV Guide is equating this with cancelation.I blame America.

Grrfizzlejfjo!!Hopefully FX or some other cable network can pick it up, and it's dismal ratings will be seen as decent.

You know, maybe if FOX would not have moved it around so much and taken it off for weeks at a time and advertised it better, it would have drawn a better audience. I'm really aggravated, it's a great sitcom & with so much other crap that's on, why are they cancelling this show? I too hope another network picks it up. It's just wrong.
