I really love Deadwood. But they talk so fast & use all that wild-west lingo (or whatever it's called.) If I could understand what they were saying 100% of the time it would make my love for the show even stronger.

Ian McShane (AL Swearengen) is brilliant! He is one of the best actors I've ever seen. He is the reason why I'll continue to watch the show.

It's an almost Shakespearian turn of phrase they use (aside from the liberal sprinklings of c__sucker and mother____, etc.). I have to listen to most of the pithy Al scenes at least twice to catch it all. But that's part of its allure to me.
