"Worst SNL cast members"

We all know who the best members of Saturday Night Live are(I vote for Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy and Will Ferrell), but not too many people comment on the worst cast members. So I've made a short list of people who just flat-out sucked.

Jim Breuer-Two words: "Goat Boy". What was he thinking? Easily one of the worst characters in the history of the show. Breuer did little else in other areas as well. He always ended up playing a drunken fratboy, which isn't all that good of a role to have.

Chris Kattan-Am I the only person on the planet who didn't understand the Mango skit? It seems as if Chris's only purpose for being on the show was to play the "Is he gay or isn't he?" character.

Colin Quinn-Incredibly unfunny. Easily the worst Weekend Update anchor, ever! Quinn had this strange way of mumbling words after a joke that was just irritating to me. He then went on to create a total Politically Incorrect rip-off on Comedy Central.

Nora Dunn-Mostly landed a gig on SNL because she was dating a big wig. She created no interesting characters and she sort of faded into the background.

Rob Schneider-And his movies are still annoying us today. Schneider was overshadowed, and rightfully so, by Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, and Mike Myers.

Jay Mohr-Mohr always seemed to have a cocky way about him. It was as if he were saying "I'm too good looking to be hanging around Chris Farley". There was further proof of his smugness after leaving the show and tried doing sports talk on Fox Sports Net.

Horatio Sanz-It's not that Sanz isn't funny. It's just that he has an annoying habit of breaking character in almost every single skit he's in. He has a bad habit of inappropriately laughing, even in the lame skits.

Fred Armisen-It's seems anytime they need someone to impersonate a person of spanish decent that they immediately call on Armisen. One trick ponies don't make for good laughs.

So, who else should have made this list? Anyone on the list not worthy of their spot?

Will Ferrel was funny on SNL, but hasn't made anything funny since then, with the possible exception of Zoolander.

See, I couldn't stand Will Ferrall on SNL but loved him in Elf. I guess I'm only one of a few because most people I know hated that movie but it's one of my fave's. Couldn't stand "The Anchorman" movie. What a horrible piece of crap. However, besides that, I have enjoyed most of his movies...

I totally disagree. Farrell has had several funny roles since SNL. "Old School" should have merited him a Best Supporting Actor role at the Oscars. Unfortunately, they hate comedies, for some bizarre reason.

Anchorman is still one of the most underrated movies of the last few years. Give it a second watch on HBO and you'll probably laugh your head off. When Ferrell is playing the jazz flute and he smugly says "That's baby makin music, right there" in between notes well, you have to laugh.

I absolutely HATE Will Feral. I don't think he is funny. I don't think he was funny on SNL. I don't think he is funny off SNL. His presidential impersonations were lame to say the least.

Of course that's just my opinion.

Anchorman was awesome...hearing Will Ferrell say in a deadpan expression, "I'm Ron Burgundy. Go fvck yourselves, San Diego" was about the funniest thing ever (I know it's just an expression with an F-bomb in it, but it was his delivery and the fact that he did it as a news anchor signoff that got me.) That and Ferrell was awesome as Alex Trebek on Celebrity Jeopardy.

Worst character? Chris Kattan, easily. The only good thing he ever did was Corky Romano, and that was as much his supporting cast as it was him, if not more. Frankly Rick Moranis would have done as well, if not better, as Corky.

I disagree on Rob Schneider. Loved him! He's one of my fave's from that era. I loved the "Copy guy" skit and still laugh when I see repeats.

I agree on the guy who played "Mango." What an idiot. Never did like that skit nor did I like him.

Then again, after Phil Hartman left I really only watched here and there...

I thought Phil Hartman was so funny too. I really dont watch SNL very much anymore. It is all about MADTV now!

Since the Hartman days. I think he was a phenominal comedian, and I would love to have his voice. I could listen to him read the phone book.

I'm not sure what people liked about Cheri O'Teri and today's Rachel Dratch.

Three is the perfect number.

I think Cheri Oteri and Rachel Dratch were both hilarious. I just loved the characters they played.

I have seen Colin Quinn live in NYC and he was horrible. I agree he was the worst anchor ever. There was several years that most everyone sucked. Thank God for Tina Fey

She's great, especially her Donatella Versace.

I like her Beyonce, too, as Prince's sidekick.

You mention Horatio Sanz breaking character and laughing. Jimmy Fallon had the same habit and it was annoying at times, although one of my all time favorite skits was him and Rachel Dratch as the Boston teenagers. "You ah so retahded!" "You ah!"

Oh, yeah! Those wacky Bahston teenagahs!

Any time Jimmy & Horatio were in the same skit together, you could count on them cracking each other up, which cracked me up. I looked for it, waited for it!

and Jimmy Fallon and Sanz in the college dorm skit...when Matthew McCoughnahy SP? reprised his role for Dazed and Confused, I peed myself laughing

Worst

Chevy Chase
Victoria Jackson
I'm not a big Bill Murray fan either

From the early ones, I liked Jane Curtin and Gilda Radner and John Belushi.

From the middle ones...I loved Eddie Murphy and liked Martin Short (that tobacoo exec. was classic)

I liked Dana Carvey, loved Adam Sandler, liked Chris Farley, and sometimes David Spade was tolerable. I liked Jan Holtz ?? and Phil Hartman and I liked Nora Dunn in her skits with Jan.

From recently, I like Jimmy Fallon and Horatio and the guy that does Bush (its hard, hard work) I love Amy Pohler and the new kid that looks like Adam Sandler...he recently did a "movie short" with Justin Timberlake )(&&()& in a box OMH hilarious

I don't like that Fred guy either except when he does Prince.

As for hosts

I love Alec Baldwin he is hilarious... CANTEEN BOY was hilarious...Justin Timberlake is hilarious when he hosts...when he did the BeeGees with Jimmy Fallon...Christine Aguilera was funny too...when she did the blond from Sex in the City...I hated when Paris Hilton was on a few years back. Matthew Fox from Lost this season wasn't very good.

I know Anthony Michael Hall was on a season, and I always just changed the channel, sucked that bad.

I've always hated David Spade. I don't think I've ever laughed at anything he has ever said.

Garrett Morris: didn't fit in

Christine Ebersole & Victoria Jackson: untalented blondes

Mary Gross: major geek

Chris Kattan: as Roger Ebert said, "the guy who works at Kinko's is funnier"

Am I the only one here who liked Chris Kattan? I especially loved his impersonation of that Spanish guy (I forget his name), where he says he's hot and that maybe he should take off his shirt. Then one of the guys in the background playing guitars says, "No, boss! Too sexy!" And Chris says "But I must" and unbuttons one button.
