"Jeopardy Championship"

After 2 days out of 3 total, Ken Jennings is losing by about $12000. He still has a shot but it will be difficult to come back and win. The champion is the person with the highest cummulative three day total. The winner gets $2 million, second place is $500,000 and third is $250,000.

The sad thing is that I'm kind of rooting for Ken to win. I've watched a good deal of the tournament. I was rooting for Jerome throughout, but I didn't really think he had a great shot against Ken. He always starts out slow, but gains so much ground in Double Jeopardy.

I admit, watching Ken struggle through the Double Jeopardys is surprising to me. I hope he wins because he and Bob Harris (who was elimininated in the second round) are my all time favs.

Three is the perfect number.

Check out the UPI wire on the left menu - Ken's going to host a game show.

I heard that, but if he loses that would be an insult.

Ken definitely hasn't been as sharp this time around. Although Ken usually bet fairly cautiously on the Daily Doubles, I think all three played cautiously for the first two episodes since their scores are cumulative but I imagine that they may go for broke tonight, unless someone is so far ahead that there's no catching up.

You are probably right but Ken is behind by quite a bit.

Can you imagine how bad he felt when he came in second on the buzzer on the question that would have meant a tie. It's kind of ironic because so many of the people who lost to him blamed the buzzer for their loss. I'm really hoping he can pull it off but he is quite a bit behind.

...Well, that was a slaughter. Congratulations to Brad Rutter for beating the carp out of Ken Jennings.

The really nice thing is that Ken and Jerome were really nice about it. After seeing Ken win 70+ games, it was nice to see that he was a good loser.

He probably knocked over three tables backstage...

Brad was a really deserving winner. I was hoping Ken could catch up but Brad took the lead and never gave it up. I think Brad's winning in the earlier matches gave him an edge and he came into this with real confidence. For Ken to miss on the buzzer as much as he did shows, I think, that he may have been at a disadvantage having a bye until the end. All three guys were very gracious and Ken has a really good perspective on all this. He knows that he became a phenomenon beyond Jeopardy. But this was Brad's moment!

They were awesome, but Brad was better over these few days.

Ken can sulk in the $500k he won and Jorome will be happy with the $250k for last place.
