"Best Comedy Duo on TV"

And it's about time somebody said it. Butters and Cartman are the ultimate comedy duo. You can gurantee that anytime an episode of "South Park" revolves around these two that it's gonna be laugh a minute. A few seasons ago Cartman tricked Butters into believing that the end of the world was coming, because he secretly wanted to take Butters' spot to go to Bennigan's. Last season he posed as a "robot friend" to Butters. This year Cartman believed he was dead and he thought only Butters could see him.

All of those episodes are among the strongest. The reason is because Butters is the polar opposite of Cartman. He's sweet and kind while Cartman is nasty and mean. They should get their own spin-off show once "South Park" ends.

Totally agree. And you forget the contrast with the parents too. Mrs. Cartman does not discipline Eric while Butter's parents always ground him, even when he's done nothing at all (or is just telling the truth).

Three is the perfect number.
