...if you suspect you might shed a tear during the Friends Finale tonight and then feel embarrassed about it for the next week.

*Raises hand*

I'm a total sucker for a couple getting a baby after hardship. I've already planned for DH's laughter as I sniffle away.

I'll be crying, too. It doesn't take much for me to start crying at happy or sad things on tv.

my DH will be making fun of me also.

The only thing on TV tonight that could possibly make me cry would be if I have to listen to Jenna telling Rupert how to strategize tonight. Now THAT'S something that would pull some tears from my eyes.

Friends...not so much.

I won't be embarrassed. That's the cool thing about being preggers - I can cry whenever I want to, and peeps just blame it on the pregnancy.

And given the stress level in my life these days, it doesn't take much to make me cry.

But isn't it fun getting to blame the impregnator? I've gotten away with more yelling and ranting during the past 7+ months just by reminding him I'm carrying his child.

Oh it very nearly makes the lack of sleep from not being able to get comfortable ever again, the backache, the horror that is the bathroom scale, the killer cravings for starbucks vanilla bean fraps...etc etc...all worthwhile.

I'd blame the weather and the directional rotation of the sun on Mr Doom if I could figure out any connection. Then I'd cry about it...if I could. (but that requires thought....which is work...and far too much trouble).

and i'm only at 4+ months! ahh joy....

if they find out that some producer who know's Joey and has listened to all his stories about the gang wants to make a show based on them and they fly to LA..only to have the plane be diverted because Joey accidentally broke the autopilot or something and then they get arrested for not helping when an old lady and her cat gets mugged.

Well, since I doubt anyone will ever top the brilliance that was the final "Newhart", I take all the hype with a grain of salt.

That one lived up to the hype. They kept saying you didn't want to miss the last 5 minutes, and they were right. Oh, and all the stuff leading up to it was cool too, especially the Darryls speaking.

Newhart finale - A group of Japanese developers come in to buy the town, wanting to build a golf course. The Darryls finally speak.

And in the highly hyped last 5 minutes..."Dick" turns on the bedroom light to tell his wife about this bizarre dream he had. Only it's not Mary Frann in the bed, it's Suzanne Pleschette. The entire series was a dream!

Best line of the night was when Bob told Emily she should wear more sweaters.

My favorite season was Season 5. (starts with London and ends in Vegas) My favorite episode was the one where everyone is starting to find out Monica and Chandler are together.

Rachel and Phoebe: "They know that we know that they know that we know. Don't repeat that to anyone."

Joey: "I couldn't if I tried."

I've missed some shows this season too. Some of it just isn't funny to me anymore.

here...have a seat next to me on the couch..I've got some potatoes to throw at the tv when they get back together

And I have some tomatoes from my garden. What a splendid mess we can make! It will be less of a mess than they will make though, scripting Ross & Rachel back together. Bleech!!!!!!!

OMH that is one of the best episodes every!

Phoebe: (seeing Monica and Chandler doing it from Ugly Naked Guy's apartment.) Oh, Chandler and Monica! CHANDLER AND MONICA! OH, MY EYES! MY EYES!

Joey: Are you guys done yet? I wanna sit in my chair!
Rachel: You know, the sooner she gets Chandler to crack, the sooner all this is out in the open and there's no more secrets.
Joey: Oh, I like that! Oooh, show him your bra! He's afraid of bras. Can't work 'em.

This is my favorite episode of all time. What about you?

Joey: Now, enough of us know that we could just tell them that we know! Then all the lying and the secrets will finally be over!
Phoebe: Or we could not tell them we know and have a little fun of our own.
Rachel: What do you mean?
Phoebe: Well, you know, every time that they say that they're, like, doing laundry, we'll just give them a bunch of laundry to do.
Rachel: Oh! I... I would enjoy that!

The One with the Embryos is my second fave--where Monica and Rachel lose their apartment to Joey and Chandler

I totally agree. Ross *is* a big fat baby. I think you get to join our club too. (The membership will be really low--everyone loves the two of them together.)

And, Ross, honey, I don't care if you were "on a break" or not, getting sh!tfaced drunk and sleeping with the copier room girl is not precisely the behavior that women want the guy who is trying to win them back to be engaged in.

But, don't get me started on Rachel or Monica.

Gawd, I love this show.

"We were on a break!"
Posted by StarryLuna on 05-06-04 at 05:12 PM
Hee hee, Tig you posted while I was typing! I agree, sleeping with Chloe (the copy store girl) was not a smart idea, but leading up to the whole "break", Rachel was a major b!tch regarding their relationship so I took his side.

For the last 1/2 of season 3 and all of season 4 I could not STAND Rachel! I loved the finale of season 4 when she was on the airplane to London to stop Ross's wedding and the guy sitting next to her basically took Ross's side. Hee!

"RE: We were on a break!"
Posted by tig_ger on 05-06-04 at 05:24 PM
Will you still *heart* me if I tell you that Rachel totally reminds me of myself? Especially the b!tchy part. So, naturally, I could not take Ross' side. I did, however, take his side in "The One where no one is ready." My DH would have *killed* me. Literally.

"RE: Hands Up..."
Posted by StarryLuna on 05-06-04 at 05:08 PM
Ross and Rachel as a couple are overrated. (Although I've always been on his side regarding the "We were on a break" thing.) I've always preferred Monica and Chandler as a couple. It's funny, M&C hooked up at the end of season 4, so they've been together now for 6 years, yet it always seems like their relationship is so new.

Still, I won't boo when R&R get back together. I've actually been wanting it to happen for the last 5 episodes since the writers keep teasing us with it. Several times in the last few months I've screamed at the tv "Just do it already!"

Fortunately, the actual final episode doesn't start until 8:59 (stupid NBC). The first hour is just retrospective stuff. Of course the finale won't live up to its hype, of course I'll cry tonight, of course fiance will laugh at me. Although, I've been crying for the last few weeks at each episode.

You can still watch Survivor and see the Friends finale, Buggy. The first hour of Friends is a recrap. The second hour is the finale.

That gives the basic premise of the show.

Miscellaneous Ramblings
--ftr, it sucked. There is a reason that it was a one-hour series.
