"15 TV Shows You Should Watch"

Posted by annapolislass on 03-29-04 at 07:52 PM
My Picks for the 15 Best Shows (in no particular order)

1. The Apprentice (NBC)
The only thing NBC has going for it. Trump should just buy the network.

2. Jeopardy (ABC)
Best game show of all time. Look for me next season!

3. Charmed (WB)
The charmed ones rock! Great show that shouldn't be missed.

4. LIVE With Regis & Kelly (WB)
The only thing worth watching in the morning (besides the local news on my WB affiliate).

5. The Simpsons (FOX)
Still one of the best shows on television.

6. Arrested Development (FOX)
This show is so ironic. I can't get enough!

7. The OC (Fox)
Clever writing, always entertaining to watch. Not just for teeny-boppers. The Paris Hilton guest appearance was hilarious.

8. American Idol (Fox)
I didn't start watching until the third season, but now I can't get enough.

9. Without a Trace (CBS)
Hands down, the best procedural drama on TV.

10. The Amazing Race (CBS)
Best Reality Show EVER. You have to watch it.

11. Anderson Cooper 360 (CNN)
One of the most entertaining news programs out there. I watch it every day.

12. City Confidential (A&E)
I don't know why, but I'm addicted to this show! The narrator has the greatest voice!

13. While You Were Out (TLC)
Everyone needs their weekly dose of home-decorating fun.

14. The Dead Zone (USA)
I really enjoy watching this show. I can't wait for some more new episodes!

15. Providence (UPN)
I know, I know... it only lives on in re-runs. Shame on NBC for dropping this great show. Much thanks to my local UPN affiliate for picking up the right to air re-runs.

Agree? Disagree? Feel free to post your picks and jump all over mine, if you wish!

That's Ossie Davis narrarating City Confidential, BTW.

Current favorites (following your lead, in no particular order):

1. The Office (catch it quick before the 2 seasons of reruns goes back to the UK for good-one of the best shows EVER).

2. Deadwood

3. Sopranos

4. Jeopardy

5. South Park

6. Simpsons

7. Arrested Development

8. Survivor

9. Family Guy

10. Brini Maxwell

11. Queer Eye

12. Name-your-home-improvement-show (Clean Sweep? Trading Spaces? Changing Rooms? Life Laundry?) and I'm probably watching it.

I cant stand Regis in anything, let alone having him on my tv first thing in the morning. ACK.
I like City Confidential, except for Paul Winfield. His voice sounds (to me) like he should be doing voice-overs for cartoons.

The louder he talked of his honour, the faster we counted our spoons.

Paul Winfield-oops! I think I said it was Ossie Davis.

Definately DEFINATELY Arrested Development.

Why aren't more people watching?! I've been telling everyone I know to watch it so that it doesn't get cancelled.

I loved Paul Winfield's voice. But since he died I don't know who will be narrating the new episodes. But I'll miss his voice.

Amen to that Esbea. I cant stand Kelly either. I want to smack her and tell her to shut up every time I see her. I cannot understand why so many ppl. love her.UGH

I saw one of the new episodes of City Confidential lastnight with the new narrator. Keith David is now doing it for the late Paul Winfield. I found it really hard to get used to this new voice.

I don't think I can count that high.

Well,
1. Survivor
2. CSI, and mostly because it's on the tape after Survivor
3. 8 Simple Rules -- I keep trying to watch it. but it's always interrupted by some presidential speech or something.
4. Maryland Terps basketball
5. Maryland Terps football
6. Sopranos
7. Deadwood
8. When does "The Wire" come back on?

9. Hannity and Combes
10. O'Reilly Factor
11. Showtime's late night weekend sex soft-porn Brian Hedeik movie.
12. Maryland Terps lacross
13. Raymond! Oh, yeah, that one. Everybody Loves Raymond. Only on reruns, though
14. Becker. Reruns, too, when I'm in insomniac mode.
15. CSPAN, anytime. I especially love the vote-counting scenes.

My faves (in no particular order)

1. The Apprentice
2. American Idol
3. Survivor
4. Friends - only three episodes left!
These are my current main four that I never miss. Others that I try to catch:
5. Monster House
6. Antiques Roadshow (I keep dreaming I'll find something valuable in my house.)
7. Whose Wedding Is It Anyway/A Wedding Story/For Better For Worse - obviously, this obsession will stop after July
8. Whose Line Is It Anyway - in repeats on ABC Family. I think I've seen every episode they show now at least 3 times though.
9. Clean Sweep - *waves to Augie and Ginger* I love this show and I want them to come organize my closets and stuff, but I can't let my house become enough of a disaster area to get on the show.
10. Unwrapped - This show is addicting. I love watching how all that food gets made.
11. Reno 911 - too funny!
12. Queer Eye
13. Extreme Home Makeover

*waves to Luna*

While cleaning house is not one of my favorite activites, I do have to say I do a much better job than the people who appear on Clean Sweep. How do they live like that? I'm amazed at how some people live in total chaos. Wonder how many of them go back to their messy ways after the makeover?

And I love Unwrapped too!
