Only one hour tonight, praise to any and all beings natural or supernatural!*checks facebook* Uh Oh, the set list is locked up tight for the night. This can't be good news, can it?
opposite coasts, same fears, same dream, Now they share the stage, one last time. How will their story end. It's all up to YOU.The question, as always, is for what value of "YOU", but enough of the grassy knoll, what are the judges wearing tonight. Looks like Randy went for orange sherbert for inspiration tonight.
Ryan, from the Nokia Theater, Finally Week, 7,000 fans in the house tonight.
Lets hear it from the Phillip Phans?
How about he Jessica Fans.
Let's bring them out right now.
Jessica finally remembers that it is "both of us on stage".Phil just gargles at Ryan when asked how he is doing.
1. Simon Fuller's choice.
2. Contestant's favorite Song
3. Potential Winner's Single.
I Have Nothing - Whitney Houston.Froze up near the start.
Wow, what an unusual choice, And freezes up again. I think her growling scared the AV system.Who would think she'd be singing a Diva Song from Whitney or Mariah, or Celine, etc.
Judges at the end of round 1.
Stand By Me. Playing Guitar.
Gossip with the judges.Ryan can't even call it judging anymore.
J. Battle of the opposites. Power, control, vs modern day crooner with artistry. America has a tough job. Who makes you feel something.
Did anyone win Round 1.
R. Jessica.
The Design a Song. Wow, filler is better than letting the judges have time to "judge".
Well, that did absolutely nothing for me! Maybe I'm just in a mood tonight, because everyone has bored me, so far.
Thank goodness this is only one hour.
The PrayerGuess what, another ballad, and she's in another gown.
Are they banned from singing anything except sloowww & "ballad-y" tonight? I'm bored
Movin' Out, Slow Ballady Dirge Version. The night nothing upbeat can be sung.
Playing guitar, wearing dark grey rather than the light grey from earlier. What no judges' gossip...oh there we are .
S. PP...hatch or go bad. I would have to say Jessica took it again.Man they are throwing PP under the bus hard.
R. Dead heat, even round two.
J. Have to go with PP on this round. Seen Jessica do that before and authentic Phillip.
For....um...Mello YelloGee, you think the ad execs finally caught on?
Change Nothing.Sitting on a piano starting out way too low for her range. Isn't she a bit young for leather pants?
Can this be any more slow and boring?
zzzzzZZZZZZ..... WHAT? I-I-I'm awake, really!
Don't make me put one of those Josh must get a standing ovation from the judges shock buzzers in your chair.
>Don't make me put one of

YIKES! No, I'm awake... honest! Pretty sure I can maintain that for 10 more minutes.
R Did not love the song, but you made something out of it. To do a straight pop song is a little weird, brought the song to life, but the song is just OK.J. Sang the song really well. Pop Ballad not what I would so, so much soul and blues quality. We missed that, tried to bring that to it. I understand what Randy's saying. You will make many records. Have to be able to say this is not me, or change things. Everything has to be you. You can be you which is really big.
S. We know how good you can sing, that song wasn't the proper song with where you've taken the world before.
Jessica's getting the bus?
Home.
Playing the guitar. At least his fingers are moving fast, but the song is sung dirge pace, with no melody.
He is getting a Standing O from the jidges?
Randy, love the song, love you, love the marching band, everything perfect. Best performance of the night. Mumford and Sons, brilliant genius.
J. So different, not anyone else you sounded like. A PP song and nothing else sounds like it.
S. Made the world your home, you were perfect tonight. I think you are the man.
J. So different, not anyone else you sounded like. A PP song and nothing else sounds like it.I thought it was a Coldplay song.
I actually liked that.
For 10 seasons they couldn't end a show on time for love nor money. How many minutes of filler do we have at the end to fill.
Oh we got a Scotty performance to fit in.
Oooh, Scotty! NOW I'm awake!
I don't care what those Worsters say, Phillip should win because he is better! Also the WGWG is old, I could care less if they are the best and at least in my opinion, I thought Phillip should win from the beginning and still do.I do still expect Jessica to win though and not by a vote count. We all know that save week was a strategy plan.
LAST EDITED ON 05-23-12 AT 06:17 PM (EST)I actually think the show has set itself up for a major lose-lose here. If Phillip wins, it's complaints about frau dominance, open wondering why anyone other than their chosen type should even apply, and more of what talent still remains to the found heading for the other shows. Should Jessica take it, people will be screaming about scripting, predetermined results, and the millions of show-illegal votes that came in from the Philippines, plus why should you apply when the next season may not be rigged in your favor? No matter what happens, between the end result (whatever it may be), extra shenanigans, and the total lack of actual judging this season, the last remaining shreds of credibility are about to go.
Not that the bulk of the audience cares about credibility. Nor does FOX. But if the ratings continue to slip...
...well, we've had enough rumors that the panel may be on the chopping block. There's places to go from there.
I could listen to Phillip's CD while driving and not swerve into oncoming traffic because he hit a sour note. I cannot promise the same thing with Jessica's
You have been warned.
