Galveston, oh Galveston, I am so afraid of dying

Oh dear, all those hurricanes and now this!

Please don't let the boredom kill me.

Just in case anyone still cares, keep all discussion of the show here until the West Coast wakes from their stupor.

"9th visit to Texas"
Posted by Snidget on 01-26-12 at 09:07 PM
Poor Texas.

Pick me sign with a big nose on it. Yikes.

1st contestant is star struck. Fong Vu. He likes the camera action in his face. Gee, Idol's never made fun of Asians before...

Un-Break My Heart.

Un Break my Ear Drums.

And it is a no.

Once again proving that the only thing bigger in Texas is the size of the delusion. Also that this well may need some time to get the water level back up.

Did someone just punch Ryan in the face? ...no, I won't get my hopes up.

Idol doesn't hate Asians! 'Loathe' is a much better word!

At a guess, when it came to Texas, that was the same @#$%ing song they had to listen to for six straight hours.

Six very straight hours.

She's a girly girl, who shoots deer and mud ATV's. Works at the family business.

Hell On Heels.

We know who she is, ready to vote. Randy has a stroke, or tries to fake her out, same dif.

Unrefined sugar. They can bake with her, but there's only so many recipes they can use.

Serious Determination, especially when they turn you down.

Baylie Brown. tried out 5 years ago, but she's grown and mature now.

Lay you down in a bed of roses.

Yes, yes, got significantly better, through to Hollywood.

It's all those evil Jerseyans' fault! They should have their state thrown out of the Union! And to keep things at fifty, we'll just divide Texas into East and West!

One and only shot, at the age limit.

3 kids, going through a divorce. Hard to find work. Got a plane ticket instead of using loan for the lawyer.

Love the high warble and where go upstairs and 3 yeses and off to Hollywood.

Why The Economy Svcks. Because people make stupid decisions. Simon's crew had applicants selling their cars to pay for everything and this one blows her loan check on odds slightly better than the lottery. Let's see how the next bank takes that news.

"I'm thinkin"

she's going to be sad about using that loan money for this...

*groan*

Dissension in the ranks.

J likes them, the boys don't. And most are better than the people that have gone through, so they must be threatening to TCO.

Screechy girl goes to pee herself, and J Lo doesn't get it.

J. Lo finally figures out they slip something into the cups.

Jennifer about to go off. And the hair people can't even get their hands on her she is so upset.

"Idol Smack Down"

Ryan tries to create peace, piece of what I do not know.

Alehandro Cazares. First day of the Revolution. Because revolution is always the quick way to peace.

Underdogs win, where stuff that happened already did. He has been on the sidelines. No one believes in him.

Looking up by Paramore.

I grew up in the 60's, we shoot revolutionaries, it may not be very evolved of me, but the revolution MUST DIE!

He begs. Not yet, never, J. Lo says he has too much dignity.

Security sees him off. Life is about how hard you can get hit.

"Day Two."
Posted by Snidget on 01-26-12 at 09:48 PM
Jennifer bares her belly and the boys are distracted.

Cortez from Garland. Single Mom ran the household, homeless for two years.

Singing Adele. Randy wants to see what else he has go, Randy likes him once he starts saying Randy is his favorite judge.

Randy has to think if he can say yes to a good looking guy with a good voice.

"RE: Day Two."
Posted by Estee on 01-26-12 at 09:51 PM
First definition of double standards: Randy 'you can really sing and my eye is so not twitching dawg' Jackson telling someone not to lie on television.

Second through sixth: the rest of the episode.

They have to hold onto it until the end or everyone will hit the off button too early and mess up the ratings.

Ryan attempts to be the one sane employee.

Last contestant. Ramiro Garcia. Worship Leader. Wasn't born normal. No ears. Was supposed to be deaf and mute. Many surgeries to fix his ears.

Amazing Grace. Big deal for the family. Steven likes his insides.

Leap of faith with you today.

Ryan tells Dad it is OK to be emotional.

54 hopefuls go to Hollywood.

Where is the punch?

The heck with singing! Let's make him a judge!

(Yes, this is a slam on Randy & Steven's performance tonight. Of course, this man is a preacher of sorts. He may not have the same standards those two work by. And yes, that's another slam.)

That song has another verse?

"RE: Born without ears?"

He sang a modern version popularized by Chris Tomlin.

The original has several verses. Trust me--I had to sing all of them many, many times growing up.
