Is this even necessary tonight? I think the outcome of this season was the easiest to predict since Season 3 and Fantasia....

I picked it SEVERAL weeks ago, and I'm sticking with my prediction that Scotty will get the title tomorrow night, and nothing that happened tonight changes my mind. Yes, Lauren had the sappier song, but I don't think that will win it for her.

Scotty has had "it" all season, and Lauren hasn't. Scotty is a natural performer. Scotty has the confidence. Lauren does not. All these factors will make him the Idol. We could review each performance tonight...but why? Scotty has had this season won since about the Top 6. Perhaps earlier?

Scotty was impressive from the beginning, and kept up the momentum. He never had a lackluster performance. It would be great to have a male country Idol.

Agree. But I think it was evident even earlier. Back during the top 9 performance, when he did "That's alright Mama", is when I knew he was going to win. He seems born to it.

Yup, he kind of fizzle popped the rankings this season.
