"AI 10 Dial Idol Tracker"

May be less and less relevant as so many people text and now internet and seems fewer and fewer people have modems, but can sometimes have some interesting data.

Dial Idol measures not only how many votes cast, but when and what % of the calls are busies. They use an algorithm to come up with a dial idol score.

Yeah, my jaw dropped on that one, too.

Even reader polls on other sites (such as Idol Chatter) have her ranked dead last.

Is there an hitherto unknown, undercover VTFW in operation?

I'm thinking it is likely there may be an area in NY (NY state is where most of her votes came from) that typically has a high level of busies for anyone--a place where they usually have not much excess capacity. So when you get a situation like this where there are no votes recorded in much of the country a couple of people in a high probability of busies area can fubar the algorithm.

You see more of these issues early on when the votes are spread out and a few extra busies here or there can really cause a wonky result.

If you notice her total number of votes is low, and she only did well in one state, so I think it is just a person or two with an overabundance of busies rather than evidence of widespread support.
