Jacob Lusk. Standing O and we get two pretty long performances out of his clip package, They must like him or something. Blown away by him, cut to the chase we aren't even going to bother faking you out. Very loud mewling can be heard in the holding room. Made Ryan out of breath trying to run and keep up.

Only a few spots remain. Three guys, one spot at the end.

I'm hot and cold on Jacob Lusk. There was one point in the audition process (groups, I think) that he caught my eye but then he lost it (Beatles). I loved his "God Bless the Child" but then his last chance song was kind of sucky. He's got a George Huff kind of personality. Maybe we'll see a resurgence of the George Huff Dirty Diaper Dance this season.

I like the guy, I like his sound. I think he might be overdoing it a bit, but he's got the talent and voice to get away with it. You'd think he'd have a big ego the way he sings, but he comes across as a pretty mellow guy. He's one of my fav guys.

Holding room getting tired and tense.

James Durbin, Felt like they expect the adam screams all the time, so trying to show control, with more screaming. He really shouldn't do the poop squat with all that diaper cloth hanging down the back off of his pants. Steve rambles on, and he is in the 24.

I knew that James Durbin made the top 24 but I kept hoping that maybe there was a mistake and he really didn't get in.

As much as I don't care that much for his brand of music and song, I think he adds a needed element of variety for this season. It's actually turning out to be an interesting finals group.

I understand James has some hurdles with Asperger's but I'm not totally familiar with it. I know some of our OT family has dealt with and lives with.

Is there any concern with his ability to take the stress of the Idol competition at all? I know with autism stress can sometimes be a challenge.

Don't mean to sound ignorant. Just wondering.

He seems to have a very mild case of Asperger's. A few minor tics but he seems to be handling everything really well. Makes me wonder how much therapy he has had.

Kayla has mild Asperger's - people don't relate to her well and she functions best when she has a set schedule. I was interested to see how James would handle it and seeing how he's done has made me happy.

I think different people, even with Asperger's Syndrome, handle stress differently. And yeah, James may have had some therapy to deal with the stress -- although I think he had more therapy to deal with Tourette's, which he also has.

Holding Room, Last Two Girls. Thia and Jessica calls Ryan an undertaker. You Raise Me up as Thia's final audition. Jessica auditioned over and over. Jessica's 25th birthday on Chair Day. Thia in Jessica out, again.

When we return, one spot, three guys.

I like of raised my eyebrows when I saw those AI discs dancing over her chest. At first I thought it was hiding something else besides her fingers!

Dust kicks up on the road. The sun is setting and the only thing moving is MC’s car fishtailing out of town. She’s on her way to the city.

She stands in the wings. Hmmm, not much to chose from so far. After drinks with Tyler last night it’s pretty unclear what kind of Spring MC will be having back at her place. The recession has caused a bit of discontent in terms of sales in the Antique Shoppe. But, always looking for the silver lining, MC realizes this may leave more time for her hobbies. Ah yes, her hobbies.

MC shakes her head. Still hanging out backstage she watches as some favourites escape, ahem, get cut from Top 24.

MC heads back top the hotel bar and spots the familair sight of long hair, velvet and lace makin' hay at the bar. “Hey Stevie! Grab me a single malt.”

MC and Stevie have a chat.

“MC, baby, not sure how this year is looking”

“I know Lips. It’s been a long winter. What the hell am I going to do?”

“Let’s grab a bottle and head back to the Shoppe. I’ve got some photos for you to go through”
