"Auditions"

Auditions have begun and am being conducted as we speak, which begs the question: WHO is actually deciding who goes to Hollywood?

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

So far same as every year. The producers are deciding who will be seen in the call backs in a month or so.

The judges don't go to the cattle calls. They weed people out in the stadium to who will go on and then bring the judges in usually during the fall.

The editing makes it look like they go from the cattle call straight to the judges at a hotel somewhere, but those aren't done the same day, or even the same week.

Either we will know who the judges are before the see the judges round starts, or they will send Randy with guest judges.

Shocking, but I never knew that. I figured there was a day or two gap - not weeks. How inconvenient for people who had to travel. I was guessing Randy with random celebrities and that we would see the new judges in Hollywood.

Thanks to you and jbug for the clarification.
